This anomaly makes perfect sense in the context of the "official story" being true. If the "official story" is true, then WTC 7 was heavily damaged and expected to collapse. This information wasn't transmitted properly through the BBC as a result of the chaotic situation and an error was made, changing "about to collapse" to "has collapsed." It's just an error in the tense used, probably motivated at least partially by the desire for the BBC to be the first to report a new development.

If it were "scripted," as has been suggested, then this kind of error makes no sense at all. If that were the case, we would expect to see news reports in lock-step. The variation of coverage, including mistakes like the one in question, is further evidence against the belief that such coverage was "scripted."

But maybe the error was that it was scripted and let out too early? I have looked into quite a bit of the beliefs about 9/11 and what struck me is that the beliefs so often contradict each other and branch off into different directions.

If you look at this forum, you'll find a thread from a moderator talking about how prevalent name-calling is amongst this kind of discussion. From what I have seen in the "truth" community, that seems to be mostly people accusing others of being part of the conspiracy or promoting a "limited hangout" or one thing or another.

If it really were the case that 9/11 were an "inside job," then we would expect to see the different, contradicintg stories streamline over time as different hypotheses are discarded by more compelling evidence. Apparently this find was discovered a year or so ago, but only one other media outlet has reported it. As you can see, the FBI have been requested to carry out a criminal investigation, although whether anything will be done about it is another matter.

Another thing I meant to say was on the Project Camelot site there is a Physicist who works for one of the three letter agencies in USA who claims that he knew about 9/11 at least 2 years before the actual event. It just occurred to me that there may be a straightforward explanation for the building still standing in the BBC video.

The newscaster could have been airing the news superimposed on a background feed from slightly earlier on. i.e., the background video may have been from a few minutes before, what with all the confusion that must have been going on in the news-room at that time.

The 9/11 conspiracy theories are pretty well known by now. The BBC addressed them earlier this month with a documentary, The Conspiracy Files, shown within the UK.

Until now, I don't think we've been accused of being part of the conspiracy. But now some websites are using news footage from BBC World on September 11th 2001 to suggest we were actively participating in some sort of attempt to manipulate the audience. As a result, we're now getting lots of emails asking us to clarify our position. So here goes:

1. We're not part of a conspiracy. Nobody told us what to say or do on September 11th. We didn't get told in advance that buildings were going to fall down. We didn't receive press releases or scripts in advance of events happening.

2. In the chaos and confusion of the day, I'm quite sure we said things which turned out to be untrue or inaccurate - but at the time were based on the best information we had. We did what we always did - sourced our reports, used qualifying words like "apparently" or "it's reported" or "we're hearing" and constantly tried to check and double check the information we were receiving.

3. Our reporter Jane Standley was in New York on the day of the attacks, and like everyone who was there, has the events seared on her mind. I've spoken to her today and unsurprisingly, she doesn't remember minute-by-minute what she said or did - like everybody else that day she was trying to make sense of what she was seeing; what she was being told; and what was being told to her by colleagues in London who were monitoring feeds and wires services.

4. We no longer have the original tapes of our 9/11 coverage (for reasons of cock-up, not conspiracy). So if someone has got a recording of our output, I'd love to get hold of it. We do have the tapes for our sister channel News 24, but they don't help clear up the issue one way or another.

5. If we reported the building had collapsed before it had done so, it would have been an error - no more than that. As one of the comments on You Tube says today "so the guy in the studio didn't quite know what was going on? Woah, that totally proves conspiracy... "

To prove this fact you merely have to look towards the left side of the video and you will clearly see the white edge of the display screen. Other skyscrapers construction would make it difficult or well nigh impossible to achieve this, not the Twin Towers.

Also in the event of a real attack at peak time, and the towers collapsing skewiff, perhaps hundreds of thousands of lives might be lost, plus the effect on all the trade/ monetary/ financial trade there. . . .

I'm certain a simple search on YouTube will find it, but the title of this thread is incorrect. It was not 23 minutes before. It was hours before. If memory serves me correctly, it was approximately four hours later when WTC 7 actually collapsed.

Whether it was flight 93 or something else, we are given no reason whatsoever why a building that was only partially damaged as WTC 7 was would fall down exactly as if it were a controlled demolition. Something went wrong with their plans concerning this building and they just pulled the building with no explanation given. In any case, it seems to have worked out well for the conspirators. Most Americans are either too stupid or don't know about WTC 7or don't give a fuck about it if they do know or are afraid to learn about it or are already part of the conspiracy. We all know what you are saying is true and I have felt the outrage and the frustration that you are clearly expressing. But what can we do? I don't know what to do other than to try to understand 9-11 myself before I start trying to tell other people about the conspiracy. I have made a fool of myself too many times trying to talk to people about this and now no one wants to listen to me. I'm like the boy who cried wolf one too many times, and I am afraid nobody would even listen or care if I figured out something significant about it. How do you wake up the people around you and make them see something is wrong? Is it even possible to do?

Do what you can, but don't give yourself an ulcer over this because that helps no one. Just try to figure out the puzzle.

I BELIEVE there is a logical, rational explanation that explains all aspects of 9-11 and I am searching for it. If and when I find it, I'll move on to the next step of trying to explain it to other people.

I really like what you say. I want to hear more when you say "they are robbing us blind". Please elucidate. I suspect that, vaguely, but I don't know it. I am a victim of the media. I've always been interested in the news, and now I find out that a lot of the news we see is "fake news", with the entire purpose being to manipulate us. It's all one big con game under the covers. Yes, well...That's no problem, as in all you have to do is watch The Fixed News or make that the lying news of Fox News and you will know in due time how they work, as...FOR REAL! Fox News is all made up news handed down to them by the Republicans and their talking heads of the different issues of the day, as you see...They go over the issues of the day, as in everyday, and remake them as to their own polices of helping the Rich and their Corporations and where they get all their money is trying to convince you how the EPA is not needed or how giving The Rich tax cuts will help the poor and Middle Class, as the more money they have the more jobs they can create, but they were in POWER, as to The House, Senate and the office of Presidency of holding all 3 powers of making bills to be passed in their favor for The Rich/Elite & Corporations, as to almost do away with any and all regulations on Corporations and banking but they didn't create any jobs and left us with a huge deficit, as now they say, "we spent money like we were drunken sailors," as this too was one and is one of their talking points...ya SEE/UNDERSTAND NOW?
