hello. u asked and i will answer friend :)

Ok..ill give you a general rundown and make it easy to read and understand

DAIRY
Now.. Dairy is good for you.. however only in some forms and in moderate amounts.. if you have to eat cheese (Pizza) or something. i would take it very moderately and not often.. the biggest misconception people make about pizza is that its bad for you.. it really isnt.. its the CHEESE and the oil that it produces when cooked.

So (despite what most people say) i have done a good amount of research into Milk.. and yes it is fine to consume.. do NOT overdue it
besides milk i would recommend REAL yogurt.. you can find it probably in a market that isnt a Grocery train. OR look for Original yogurts.. you know the ones with the fruit goop on the bottom you gotta mix? the top is real yogurt and just eat that and throw away the goopy bottoms

MEAT
Your body needs the essential proteins and vitamins which come from meat. The proper ones though.
It is first important to note that all foods (besides those which MUST be cooked) are 100% intact and vitamin enriched when in their natural raw state. however, depending on your body. and the body of others.. you could very well not be in good enough shape to eat it raw.. your body may be flowing with toxins and processed foods.. that introducing raw meats into your system will immediately be rejected.. if you do wish to include raw meats. make the transition slowly and be sure to cut them up into small pieces. not large chunks
Chicken..Beef (Primarely Steak) Fish are what you want.
you CAN intake pork.. however pork is thee lowest form of meat you can possibly intake and much of it has cancer causing agents
Just think of where pork comes from (Pigs) do a little imagining and remember "You are what you eat"

Veggies/Wheats
GREENS GREENS GREENS
i cannot stress enough how you need leafy greens and other vegetables for essential amino acids and vitamins.. these foods will also reduce your bodies acidity and work to move your alkaline and PH levels into proper alignment

Wheats. i would recommend WHOLE wheats. many white grains are bleached and stripped of its natural state.
Check the glycemic Index for information on slow digesting and fast digesting wheats (Low / Large on the glycemic index)
which basically is just how fast the sugars break down and flood your blood with the nutrients

Nuts/Fruits
NUTS also.. Almonds are high in protein and zero fat. very good....
Also fruits for your raw sugar intakes to keep your insulin levels up.. Blueberries have many vitamin properties.. Mangos are also very good at flushing the colon and reducing canceris toxins

And finally WATER WATER WATER.

Supplements.. is a different story

Huh?

The cheese and oil isn't produced when the pizza is cooking... it's there to begin with. Oil's that have been heated to high temperatures for long periods are problematic in that they create unnecessary free radicals. A fresh and authentically cooked pizza is fine in moderation. Toppings can be fiber-rich vegetables and tomato sauces.

I also don't understand your thinking on pork. If you are what you eat applies to pork, than you are what you eat would also make you a chicken, cow, lamb, etc. I think the you are what you eat applies more correctly to crackfoods like doughnuts and sweetened sodas. I don't eat much pork myself... What are the cancer causing agents inside of it?

I agree, whole wheat can be part of one's diet, but it isn't the only grain out there. Some people also for allergies to a protein in wheat, so other whole grains can just as easily be used.

True, almonds do contain a fair amount of protein, but most of it's caloric value comes from fat. Where did you get the idea that almonds have "zero" fat? They are considered a high fat calorie dense food along with other nuts and seeds.

I feel like nuts are perfect foods. They will provide satiety via your body's use of the hormone leptin, they're full of all types of healthful oils(these are fats), proteins, even carbohydrates, some of which are fiber. I can't recommend them after a hard hour of working out, but they're great as snacks. Something you can really replace chips and other garbage with. Just eat them one by one and you can be surprised how little it takes to get you full.

pleasuredome: What types of shit have you been eating? Do you workout? Are you pretty active? What do you normally eat during breakfast, lunch and dinner? You can start on a healthier path by reducing beverages that contain many calories... usually these calories do indeed come from shit, like simple sugars(*which do actually have their place) or alcohol. Then try and work your way up to ten or so servings of plant foods a day. Think snacks like nuts, whole grain or sourdough breads, bean and seed spreads(think tahini and hummus), cut raw vegetables. ...berries in breakfast oatmeals and cereals, salads with lunch and dinner, fermented soy products(think miso soups) and/or tofus. Have an apple or it's juice during the day... same with oranges. That can be one simple goal you can keep in the back of your mind during the day. Vegetable juice can also be great. Also remember to go easy on the starchy root vegetables, unless it's a meal after some strenuous activity, like working out or coming from a run. You can easily make yourself think potato chips fried in sunflower oils, with "no trans fats," are "healthy" since potatoes are good for you. Of course, a baked sweet potato with your chicken or fish is a complete meal and great for helping you heal and rebuild after a sweat. Also, if you go out in the evenings and party the night away remember to limit your alcohol intake, and don't mix uppers with downers. While it may taste good, drinking Red Bull with your alcohol isn't always the best thing in the world. Try to set yourself up for a good breakfast each next day.

Then you can try to set other goals... like getting properly fed meats and learning to make your own yogurts, etc.

As Borat would say... Great success!

to above poster.. u are dangerously mis quoting my words... read them again and also there is a difference between "Fat" and essential fatty acids and essential fats

Almond's Healthy Fats May Help You Lose Weight

A study published in the International Journal of Obesity and Related Metabolic Disorders that included 65 overweight and obese adults suggests that an almond-enriched low calorie diet (which is high in monounsaturated fats) can help overweight individuals shed pounds more effectively than a low calorie diet high in complex carbohydrates

to answer #2 about Pork

When you intake food.. that food is then broken down and used to feed your body through the bloodstream and construct/maintain healthy skeletal muscle tissue.

if you ate shit all the time.. then shit would be what would be nourishing your body.

Pigs are the lowest form healthy animals humans eat today

What does a pig eat?
Old moldy bread.. Old milk.. their own shit.. dirt..and whatever else their farmer/owner wants to throw into the troff.

They then kill this pig.. and you eat their meat.

Their meat is nourished and FULL of all of the once digested mold/oldmilk/shit etc.

No energy is ever lost

If you have to ask why or for any reason refute the fact that pork is THEE lowest form of basic meat product.. then just let the OT'er use his/her digression on my post and stay out of it please. they dont need disinfo

I am suspicious about vitamins. Eat as little vitamins as you can. That's my guess at the moment.

What to eat?

1. Nothing that had eyes at some point. Or a heart.
2. Lots of mushrooms.. especially those that grow on cow dung.

Hey unchiha,

I completely disagree with the charge of "dangerously misquoting" you. I quoted exactly what you said.

"NUTS also.. Almonds are high in protein and zero fat. very good..."

That is what you said. You didn't mention essential fatty acids. The word "fat" describes a macronutrient, which is an oil and type of fuel for our bodies. To say an almond has zero fat is false, and can be classified as disinformation. Almonds are a complete food for humans. They have all types of fats, one's which saturate, and even polyunsaturated oils, as well as proteins and carbohydrate fuels and fibers. I am fully aware what constitutes an essential fatty acid. EFA's, along with essential amino acids(yes, they exist people...) are "essential" in that you must attain them through diet since our bodies cannot currently synthesis our own. While their aren't any essential carbohydrates that we know of yet, it's also good to note that many glyconutrients have fantastic healing properties.

I can agree with you on the high monounsaturated fat diet. That is the diet I'm on most of the year. :) I usually make "nutola" as opposed to Granola for breakfast. I soak the nuts and seeds over night in clean water for good measure. Sometimes I will add some dried coconut and it's oil too. Provides a wicked surge of energy and warmth in the mornings... like crack w/o the side effects. lol

Thank you for your information on pork foods and their origins. Many other supermarket animals are also fattened up incorrectly and inhumanly.

Hi There

Try and make all the things you eat yourself, I know it may be time consuming but you will know what you are eating. Here are some sites for you for ideas etc. I can also recommend the book "You are what you eat" - by Dr Gillian McKeith, it has some great recipes in also.

Here is what I do...

I eat ORGANIC dairy once a week (pizza). (Dairy is not a health food by any means.)
I drink a cup of organic coffee every morning with no cream... just raw organic sugar.
Rice milk is a great replacement for regular milk.
I hardly have any soy in my diet and I do that on purpose.
The only soy I really get is from the greatest salad dressing on earth. It is called "The Goddess Dressing" by the brand "Annies" - get that dressing and it will enable you to eat vegetables all day long (no kidding) which is the greatest thing you can do and it is the surest way to be healthy.
I will eat nuts but only if they are raw and organic. Roasted nuts are very acidic.
I eat protein in the morning and carbs at night. Protein makes your brain alert and carbs make your brain sleepy.
If I don't eat protein in the morning then I eat fruit because it cleanses your body greatly and the morning time is when your body is in the cleansing mode.

To make it really simple... just eat 100% organic food and stay away from dairy, soy, and hardly any grains. Fruits and Vegetables are the way- there are no substitutes.

thanks for the tips. i've been looking at some recipes like veg paella, homemade tomato soup etc.

i am making things like chili con carne and spaghetti bolognase with quorn meat. does anyone know of any issues with quorn meat?

most of the food i have been eating tends to have msg or other chemicals in it, or huge amounts of sugar, and i thought i was already eating quite healthly! so when i realise that what i was eating had this toxic rubbish in it, i thought i would go to the supermarket and see just exactly what there was that i could buy that didnt have crap in it. well i wasnt impressed. nearly everything has it in! except for things that are "fresh". so i've been stuck for recipes

Just to confuse things even more.

If you do much research, you will find pro veggie sites and pro meat sites. Could this partly to do with the sites are funded by
A the meat industry
B Vegetable industry
and that they really care about profits.

And we have the nutritional experts who change their minds like the weather. Example: One year butter is best then the next margarine is better. Then the next year vice versa! Round and round they go, changing their views.

I agree, I don't believe in either of them. Read my post on the ancestral diet and you'll see that it's nothing to do with meat eating or veggy but more about diversity and the gut fermentation process.
