I have a feeling this could have been done on purpose. A man with such a high and open intelligence as Terence is bad news to the Illuminati. Maybe they even killed him off in the first place? Just a wild speculation.
This news really sucks.

While ever I have my collection of Terrence McKenna's work, he'll never die in the collective consciousness.
RIP Terrence, we all loved you :(:(

And from that website:
Erik reports that among the destroyed items were personal papers and even a 1659 folio of Isaac Casaubon’s A True and Faithful Relation of what passed between Dr. John Dee and some spirits. Tragic.
I don't give a fuck what anyone else says, there are no such things as coincidences, they burned down Terrance's works deliberately.
Here's the site where the story came from, if you are familiar with Terance, I suggest you go to:

This happened at Sur’s Esalen Institute. Its interesting that "Esalen lost little of their own archives, the vast bulk of their books, photos, audio and videotapes residing elsewhere. Unfortunately, the institute was also using the offices to store the amazing library of Terence McKenna, the visionary psychedelic bard who passed away in 2000. The plan was to eventually install the books at Esalen, a place that Terence loved but which is not widely associated with scholarly pursuit. That plan will never be realized."

Tragic. Is this what Michael Tsarion talks about when Mr Dee asked the spirits about the stargate and how to get out? Damn, that is some loss. I didn't know he had documents like that!
crying shame
these books were just as valuable, Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy as the guy was burned at the stake for witchcraft.

Yep, that's the John Dee, the actual 007. In those documents, I wonder what the conversation was between John Dee and the spirits.

Supposedly (as i haven't read the book) John Dee made a pact with these entities, in return for the knowledge to get out of the stargate. These entities wanted ritual sacrifice, or blood, and lots of it. John Dee didn't hesitate to offer these entities whatever they wanted because the race of reptiles that he works for have been trapped on this planet and are desperate to leave, at any cost, and at the end of the day, John had masters who needed obeying.

Yep, I've heard that from Tsarion, but it would be good to read the original source. I don't quite agree with that explanation, that's why. There are a lot of other sources that clash with that idea but I'll have to look into Dee and that sort of thing a lot more.
However, something had to spark the industrial revolution, and Tsarion provides an explanation.

sounds like a modern-day version of burning the library at Alexandria.

I'm still disappointed about this all these years later :(
Does anyone have a link where I can find the archive list of the library?
I've been searching off and on for a long time but never came up with anything, I may have to get in contact with Dennis somehow and shoot him and email to ask if he can put it online.

...and yet I've still not come across the list of books as mentioned in all the news articles online (they say Dennis McKenna has a full list)

The speculation about the circumstances surrounding McKenna's demise are interesting because he stated before he died that he didn't believe large-scale conspiracies existed which struck me as disappointing at best.
