Cilantro is not recommended until later on into the chelation process.
Some chelators can actually take mercury from organs in the body, into the brain, and cause more damage.

The correct process for chelation from mercury is to first remove the mercury from the body organs (using DMSA, which removes only from body organs/cells) for several months initially (day and night)

Then Alpha Lipoic Acid (which crosses the blood/brain barrier) to chelate the mercury from the brain.

There are various other substances which can be used to remove mercury from the body also.

It is a good idea to read the book by Andy Cutler- Amalgam Illness, before attempting to chelate mercury from the body. It is the best book available.

The process is a lot more complex and variable than most people think.

Zeolite a natural mineral removes mercury and other metals, also chlorella and natural vitamin c such as camu camu. It is also a safe and natural mineral and was used in chernobyl. Ihave used it and myheavymetal levels were reduced upon testing.

Chlorella is more of a 'mobilizer' than a chelator.
It can do more harm than good moving mercury from one place to another in the body/brain, especially chlorella with lipoic acid (which many health shops sell as a combination tablet).
Also many forms of chlorella actually contain mercury.
Andy Cutler (probably the worlds number 1 expert on mercury chelation) does not recommend chlorella to be used as a chelator of mercury.

DMSA is the way to go (for chelating from internal organs/cells) taken every 4 hours, day and night, 50mg to start with, slowly increasing the dose, for 4-14 days until symptoms are supressed, then take a break of 4-14 days.
This is done for 2-6 months.

Then Alpha Lipoic Acid + DMSA every 3-4 hours every week or 2 to clear the brain and residual from internal organs, for 2-6 months.

Then continue with supplements, plus DMSA plus Alpha Lipoic Acid for the next 4-30 months.

It can take years to completely rid the body of mercury depending on how severely the body/brain is contaminated.

DPMS is another product which can be used.

Andy Cutler does not mention zeolite in his book Amalgam Illness, but the above is his recommended procedure.

I agree with that moving mercury can do damage that is why zeolite is so remarkable it is not a chelator it absorbs the mercury and other metals, by the cage like structure, the info I linked to has been researched by Gabriel Cousens. Chlorella would not be number one for removing mercury but certainly won't harm. High level vitamin C in natural form not ascorbic acid is now being recommended. DPMS is a chelator that is injected, although I have read that there are more side-effects with DPMS than DMSA.

Chlorella is quite commonly known to actually cause more damage in heavily poisoned people, and sometimes no effect at all.

The herballure website has many reports from people who have had bad experiences with chlorella.
