Thigh muscle numbness . I get this only When i ever lie down. At first it was Just Outside of the thigh But now Its spreading to the whole thigh . Even going little bit below knee.
My lower back seems ok No problems there.
Any advice.
Waiting to see neurologist which may take Long time.

Numbness can be associated with nerve damage. Contrary to what you may feel, it is likely that this numbness is coming from your lower back and radiating along the many nerve pathways running down the legs. I see this all the time at the clinic and subject to no obvious cause (scan etc) I always treat it through the back having given it some thought. Results are usually very good. It is also worth keeping in mind that letting someone just realign a bone without any consideration of other factors, may not be such a good idea in my view.
Re: acupuncture - this can be affective, to be on the safe side see a proper acupuncturist who will have completed a comprehensive training regime spanning some 3-4 years in addition to clinical training (one who comes by recommendation is usually better). Many Doctors, Chiropractors, Osteopaths and the like usually attend acupuncture training (certificated !!!!!) of only 2 DAYS duration !!!! (University of Cardiff and many others).
