View Full Version : Finding True Balance/ Harmony

Does anyone know the secret to finding true balance/ harmony?

I was pondering today, about all forms of polarity coming together to create a sort of cosmic orgasm.

I was wondering if we can do this in ourselves.

"Negative" and "positive" are just illusions; when pain is caused by opposition it is because of the illusion of separation.

Therefore, how can someone with bipolar depression (lots of highs and lows) find the keys to a TRUE SENSE OF BALANCE AND HARMONY?????

Maybe it's to do with never giving in.

Never giving in to whatever your temptation is...different for everybody.

Whatever the thing is that crushes your soul and makes you feel guilty...that thing that you wish you would not do...but that you give in to...is your temptation...and it crushes the innocence of your soul.

Maybe the most toxic people...the most unbalanced, disharmonious people are the people who:

a) give in to their temptation often
b) have completely given in to it and are completely in torment and enslavement to it.

Maybe most people/ the average person (for want of a better word) is someone who manages to regulate his slip into temptation...but is unable to completely overcome it.

This is what I think anyway.

I think it's something that definately causes imbalance.

I think there are completely imbalanced, soul crushed people all over the place...in government, in the police force, judges, teachers, in your street...they have a functioning mask of normality, but inside are toxic as can be.

Giving in to temptation causes a separation from the natural innocence and purity of your soul.

I don't know how that kind of schism can be rejoined/ how that imbalance can be balanced/ how the division of yourSELF can be united...I don't know anything about that...and I suppose that's the age old question.

What do you mean by "temptation"?
Isn't the idea of polarity all a part of the illusion/ transience?
My guess that it is unhealthy to try and strive for "perfection" in an imperfect body.

To me, temptation is anything that drives a person away from balance.

There are other things that drive a person away from balance as well.

But really, the question raised by the OP is a veritble rich tapestry of answers.

There are various..

1. Remember life is a meditation.
2. Breathe in and out... Become conscious of your breathing.
3. If all else fails, pronounce the sylable OM (aum)
4. If yer still in a lower-level place after that, try Ave Maria by Shubert...
5. If ye still can't come out of it... Try the Maha Mantra
6. By this point, there better be horned devils raining down tridents on you... but ...
7. You want out still, try the Prajna Paramita

In fact, any of these might just do the trick. Do stay away from Solomon tho.

Do what your heart calls you to do! I follow my intuition and inner longing wherever it takes me and my life situation at the moment is beyond amazing. Every day's awesome and peaceful. I'm on the right track and following what my heart calls me to do. Don't listen to anyone who will try and break you from your will! They're just jealous and trying to put you back in the box so they don't have to re-think their current situations!! Be the change you want to see in the world and watch everyone follow!

In regards to people, always see the good in people, and if it's really hard for you to try and be good to a certain person....and you've really tried and honestly find this person is blocking your development and happiness, get away form them for a while....maybe permanently, depending on the situation.

Always GIVE in LOVE. Try less and less to only do things if you're being payed! Work for people because you love them, and wish to be loved by them! Money, is just paper. Honestly, we need to remember this. Actually, say it with me!

"Money is just paper."

Any stress or fear surrounding this elusive substance is all just to do with perception. It is only in the perception of YOU that money has value. It has NO value. It is paper. Only in the mind of YOU and other gullible people is it actually valuable. Know this and live life not on the hierarchy ladder of corporate profit, but on the infinite planes of GIVING, in the name of unconditional LOVE.

Giving simply out of love is a great feeling too. It makes you feel right. It makes you feel just. Won't give you that horrible, groggy, worthless feeling you'd get from coming home form a 9-5 at the factory just to earn MONEY......PAPER! Step back and laugh!!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Live and Love.

Enjoy life!

:D

money isn't just paper, money is food... money is painkiller... money is blankets.
u have a lot of money, u can help a lot of people.

my way of life... is realize that i'm not this body...
so if there is hunger, i'm not hungry.
if there is pain, i'm not in pain.
this is the wake-up from the matrix.

you can help people in two ways:
- try to make their illusion better... give them painkillers... some food...
- try help them see through their own illusion.

because i know how real it feels to be still inside the illusion,
i try to do a combination of both...

but if i fail at making other people's illusion better, or fail at helping them realize it's just an illusion...
i don't make the mistake of believing that their illusion is real, because that would only be creating a new illusion. http://www.gamekaz.com/images/smiley/red_heart.gif

Well here goes

This is my personal experience so far and advice:

BE WITH YOURSELF, No thoughts about other (situations, people etc), no thoughts directed at yourself, thoughts to youself is as if the thought is talking to YOU, is not really just being with yourself. Notice that this is your life, your reality. This kind of thing will make you face your demons, but your heart can bear everything in this moment, there is no need for a solution from the future.

Peace and harmony is here, it IS.
Don't DO this so that you can feel balance, harmony and peace, it's the truth of your own being that will be "revealed" here.

Do you think everyone 'has eyes to see'?

I'm experimenting with this by trying to 'observe' my emotion rather than 'being' it. Its a tricky proposition and I keep finding myself caught up in an emotional state. Once I realise, I can 'back out', to some degree anyway and return to 'existing in the moment'. Someone mentioned 'Diabolic Chattering' on another thread. Thats my thoughts alright. Its so hard to shut everything up... but practise makes perfect and it is getting easier to both 'catch' and achieve.

I'm still very unsure about removing Judgement and the reason to do so. To clarify I do think this is relevant, but whats the logic. How can you not judge Bush, for example, and why would the universe act in such a way?

For me, it has been getting into serious meditation. Not the fly-by-night stuff, but really letting go of everything, thoughts, emotions, sensations, etc. Not as easy as it may sound, but soooooo worth it. When you can pop out of here for awhile, (so-to-speak) you can see that we are just living in some sort of movie. All creating our own movies. I was desparate to know what was going on so I spent five years doing meditation and reading and hardly anything else.
Osho has an excellent book on it. It is not neccesary to buy into anyone's dogma, but the information on meditation is excellent.
I know it can be hard sometimes to find the time, but where there's a will, there's a way.:)

by finding the midway of those highs and lows, as you put it

...know your middle ground and adhere/stick to it (no matter what)

it's the only battle you (and everyone polar or not) ever has in this life

...knowing thyself is a step to balance/harmony...

...samanvaya...

I used to be in pain, then I started caring for all others, all was washed away, and it became a habit, not just a temporary uplift

I am experiencing one of the most difficult times of my life right now. And yet, I realize that as soon as I start doing something and thinking positive, I'll be ok.

Well...I'm not in a good place right now...if there's a bright centre to the universe...then my state of mind is at a point where it's furthest from!

My negitivity of mind...my sense of demoralisation and self hate has manifested itself deep into my countenance. My facial expressions are gone...the sight of myself in the mirror makes me cringe. My self loathing is virtually 100%.

So...yeah if you wanna talk...ok...maybe we can work on our individual problems somehow...
