Autopsy identifies six bodies in French baby case

ROUEN, France, Oct 19 (Reuters) - An autopsy on the remains of a group of babies discovered in a cellar in northern France this week has shown that there were six bodies rather than five as first believed, a source close to the case has said.
The babies were "at-term or close to term" and died by suffocation, the source said.
A woman, who admitted giving birth to the babies between 1999 and 2006, and a former boyfriend have been held and are expected to be seen by a judge on Friday night.
The woman is suspected of murder and the man is suspected of not reporting a crime, an investigator said.

The woman's current partner, who alerted police after discovering the bodies, is not suspected of any wrongdoing.
The case is the third of its kind to make headlines in France in a year.
