Hi everyone
Here is an article about the renovation work being carried out at Silbury Hill. They claim to be filling in the tunnels to reinforce the hill (which may or may not be true, I hope there is not a more sinister plan going on here:confused:) Anyway, hopefully soon the hill will be left alone for people to enjoy again, as I certainly don't like seeing it surrounded by construction equipment etc, it's just not right.

Hi Lookfar:)
I know what you mean, back in the (so called!) summer it was surrounded by horrible fences and too many artificial things!
If I remember rightly, there was a sighting of a saucer object over the hill, then shortly afterwards the top collapsed inwards! I could be wrong though!;)

Hi LB :)
Yeah totally, it's not nice to see it with all the machinery & fences around, totally ruins the vibe of the place imo.
One of the most amazing things I saw there a few years ago (winter time) was when the hill was surrounded by a moat of water - it had a couple of swans on it & everything, I kid you not!!:D I was kicking myself as I didn't have the camera with me, but it just seemed so perfect to see it with water, I wonder if that's what it was meant to be like back in the day? It certainly changed the feel of the place & definitely for the better.
Hehe, it wouldn't surprise me about the saucer over the hill, Silbury & the surrounding area seems to attract plenty of activity :)

Yeah, water around the hill sounds spot on, think you could be right on that:)
These links below give info on what they are probably up to there .You used to be able to walk up silbury hill wich i ahve done on a couple of occasions .One time in 1999 i walked up spiralling the hill with my stepdaughter and her then boyfriend i told them local legend says if you dont want to change your life dont walk the hill and as it was the pregnant belly of the goddess be careful !At the time the constelation draconis was directly over avebury and the eye of the dragon was above silbury hill.9 months later she gave birth to her son in the year of the dragon ! I am always suspicious when they close of monuments like this at certain times as to why they are doing it . They cant publicaly perform ceremonies there so maybe they need to block others or the energiesfrom working in the correct way :D

The Sun marks the year at four clear points called the Quarter Days – the Winter Solstice (longest night), Spring Equinox (equal night and day), Summer Solstice (longest day), and Autumnal Equinox (once again, equal day and night). The Celts divided the year in to eight by inserting the four Cross Quarter Days at roughly November 1st (Samhain), February 1st (Imbolc), May 1st (Beltane) and August 1st (Lughnasad). These points are roughly half the number of days between the Solstices and the Equinoxes.

Hi 2013
Wow, that was amazing about your stepdaughter, excellent stuff!!:D I've always believed that Silbury represented the pregnant goddess too, it's the only theory that really makes any sense to me. It's a wonderful place & I like hikng up it as much as I can. Haven't been up there for a couple of years now though, so am in desperate need to get there again soon...
Thanks for the links too, the first one is especially interesting & have just been checking out the chakra/labyrinth info. I'm gonna bookmark it for later :)

Yep I definitely know what you mean, I believe they invigorate us with energy & sometimes you just get a calling to top up on it!! I haven't had a dose of Silbury energy for a while & it's needed soon, lol!!
Yeah it's a shame you've missed both meet ups as one was in Avebury and the other in Glasto. I'm sure we'll have plenty more that way next year though, so I hope you can make it along to those as it'd be great to meet you...:)
No I haven't seen that programme, but I'll make sure I check it out soon, thanks for the recommendation. My son will enjoy watching it too I'm sure!! We're just reading a book about a boy & a standing stone at the moment, which I'd read when I was young, he's loving it too, lol!

Haha I knew you'd ask that :) & I was trying to remember (even looked on Amazon but can't find it there). I'll look when I get home & let you know. It's actually one that I picked up whilst at the Glastonbury meet up for him, wasn't till I got it home & started reading that I realised I'd read it years ago, syncro eh, lol!!:D

This worries me a bit - Thornborough henge is having "quarrying" done. http://http://www.friendsofthornborough.org.uk/
Do you think our links to the past and these sacred sites are being despoiled and/or destroyed for a reason? Just a thought.

I've just tried to view the link but it didn't work? I really hope not, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were upto something sinister with our sacred sites & the energy/leylines that they're situated on.

There has been considerable dmage done to Silbury by the various digging expeditions over the last few centuries; one was a televized tunnelling in 1965! I'm glad they're repairing it, but hopefully after that they'll remember what the place is really for: a Holy Site for the spiritual exploration of people.

Thanks for the welcome lookfar. Sorry about the link - I'm obviously doing something wrong! I googled Thornborough henge and it was the first one up.
yep they are doing quarrying. I also think Stonehenge is having alterations done to it. Its all very worrying.
i was told be a friend once that one of the road protest sites was next to a masonic lodge and that the powers that be where destroying the forest and putting in a road to cut off the energy flow and harness the head of the energy line into the lodge to draw from it .But that the tree protesters camp sited up right where the energy was flowing so they absorbed it , so nice one people .cant recal whereand when not that long ago though ,When he returns from his travels ill ask him and post it :D

Silbury, thornborough, stonehenge: all sacred sites with ley lines through them - they MUST be tampering with the earths energies and NOT for the earths good.
I agree it is very, very worrying.
Hi qeiii by the way :)

How They Rebuilt Stonehenge
For decades the official Stonehenge guidebooks have been full of fascinating facts and figures and theories surrounding the world's greatest prehistoric monument. What the glossy brochures do not mention, however, is the systematic rebuilding of the 4,000 year old stone circle throughout the 20th Century.
This is one of the dark secrets of history archaeologists don't talk about: The day they had the builders in at Stonehenge to recreate the most famous ancient monument in Britain as they thought it ought to look.
check the link ,still something dodgey going on though . :D

simple but effective i feel the landscape offerd me that verse i saw a vision of a circle with 4 lines thru it like a union jack but it had little tiny circles inside the larger one at the inner edge of each line .Then when we got back to the carpark there was a guy selling his jewellry on a blanket there he had a silver necklace of the same design i askedabout it and he saidhe just made it but i dint have any money to buy it :(

When we walked by Silbury Hill on the group meet up I thought it looked in a sorry state with all the scaffolding and building equipment all over the place, it did cross my mind then that they could be up to no good possibly manipulating the energy of the place.....
I've never actually been up to the top of the hill, its always been fenced off with keep out signs up when I've been there,I bet the view is amazing from the top......I would like to get up there one day.....:)

Hi mcmenek:)
Yeah I got the same feeling about the place too at the time. I also wouldn't be surprised if they were messing with our sacred sites at the mo, it's very distressing & something needs to be done about it. I'm not sure if orgonite could possibly help or if somehow the energies can be redirected to where they're supposed to flow? It seems to be a common occurance that they're renovating/tampering with the sites at the moment & there's definitely a reason for it imo.
As for getting to the top of the hill, a fence & sign have NEVER stopped me, lol!!;) These places were made to be shared with all, not to be sectioned off out of bounds. The energy there is far too important to let go to waste, same as at Stonehenge. That is such a powerful place & people need to be experiencing its energy.
Ye i reckon it was the pattern i was meant to see im not one for jewelry anyway .Back in late 1999 my gf and a group of us where travelling around sacred sites in this country with people doing some ceremony planting crystals at the sites and doing meditations we went to glastonbury and silbury hill and the welsh mountains as the part we linked up with .In avebury we got there just after a crop circle formation this one
http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/5002/aveburyopticillusn1999is9.jpg
The bloke who was doing the ceremonys based on native indian ceremony he learned apparently from staying with them told us we had to go into the field he counted the number of small circles and said there was 6 down each side being 6 ,6,6 .The pattern being a triangle people where walking outside of it .We where to stand in the middle and trample thru it breaking the pattern as it represented 666 control by the powers that be making people go round in circles looking outside of themselves fo ranswers , by breaking the pattern we would be breaking control he said .Seemed a bit sacraligeous at thetime had visions of aging hippys (us basically :D)Attacking us for destroying the formation .Anyway we set out from the middle of the circle in four directions for the four compass points and walked to the edge .One of the women there stopped and picked up a broken stone , it had the shape of a female human body but a lizard shaped head but the head was broken off  No one had a digi camera back then to record it and the woman is in portugal now but probably still has it ,how bizzare was that , he told us it was breaking the lizard control and it was around the time i as reading the icke lizard material !! Blown away by that experience we headed back to the van t o cook up some food .The car park had a bout 6 cars maybe in a large white mercedes car with tinted black windows pulled up directly opposite our van it sat there for about 10 minutes as we sat around talking and then as we where going in to eat it started to rain the woman who found the stone was the last one with me to go inside .We had noticed that the car registration was 666 and if that wasnt freaky enough as the car pulled out ,bearing in mind noone got out of it as it left the car park we saw a huge flash of orange lightening from the floor up to the sky , i wouldnt of believed it all if i hadnt of seen it myself .I wasnt sure i had really seen it but she said did you see that.:D
after dinner we headed for the silbury hill and the long barrow and stood on top of silbury hill in a thunderstorm all thought of legging it from the devil banished in the awesome power of the storm nothing quiet like it i can tell you , we headed of to the long barrow to do some meditation. two lads fro msouthampton came into shelter one had fallen off his bike and cut his shoulder pretty badly .They look worn out .They where greeted by a bunch of soaking wet hippy looking people of varying ages as i discussed coming to the long barrow to die , knowing that it would freak them out i said only in a symbolic fluffy hippy way ,well eventually i did , ye we know they said but didnt look that convinced , i couldnt help myself it seemd a perfect opportunity for a wind up .Several weeks later an article appeared in the daily mail , i gave my copy to
the bloke who was doing the ceremony but it covers it on this page here .
http://www.lucypringle.co.uk/articles/avebury99/
What it doesnt say is the people who claimed to have made it said that there was shadowy people about 7 foot tall walking amongst them while the ywhere doing it and there wqas a sudden flash of light and the whole place lit up like daylight. Now no one in the area mentions that and why if they where trying to debunk the whole phenomenon would they say somethinglike that ? .There you go thats my crop circle story they would of got away with it if it wasnt for those pesky daily mail reporters :D

Ive never been to the top. some how I dont feel right about climbing it. its not like the Tor at Glastonbury (which to me just begs to be climbed) Silbury Hill feels too sacred to clamber to the top. But, this is just my personal opinion and I would never tell anyone not to climb it. nore would I harshly judge anyone who does. I bet the view is spectacular!
