Anyone on here experienced having a skinhead type security guard following you in a department store? Actually not sure whether he was watching me or someone else in the vicinity but my sixth sense kind of nudged me to say something wasnt right. Was basically looking for a cheap pair of swimwear and here this plonker is prentending to look at stock across the walkway from me. Is this suppose to promote a pleasant shopping experience? This can only happen in england as no- one trusts anyone anymore. Which is sad.
Ok rant over. :D

Hi
Front them. Politely. Or just keep watching them. Watch everything they do, it makes them uneasy. Keep staring and smiling. Any kind of random act or something they have not had training for makes them jittery. It's a good game, and with a few mates can actually become an interesting sport.
Bear in mind these guys are minimum wage tough guy wannabes, or on the other end of the scale, someone who's in the job because they can't get another.
One childish yet hugely amusing thing is to stand next to them and say, loudly, "please stop trying to touch my arse".
works for me,
Cheers

Haha yeah when I was younger and went into shops with a bunch of mates we would notice when the guard would keep an eye on us then as he's trying to snidely watch us, we would all separate down different isles.. ahh the fun

Next time, look them in the eye and stick something in your bag or pocket then pull it out at the checkout.

Thats a classic..me chortles.:D
I got long hair and as such am seen as a druggy/shoplifter by these wallies.
As i walk into the shop i beckon the security guard over with hand movement and say "Cmon, this way, follow me" It kinda puts them on the back foot.
It really is sad that their inteligence only reaches as far as "Your not wearing a suit and got long hair, must be a shoplifter" It got so bad with 1 guard at my local mini tesco that i had to complain to the management about it. He would blatantly follow me, when i questioned his actions he accused me of being a druggy and a thief (little did he know that ide been using the place for years and was well known as a local who always paid and never tried to steal, im not a thief or a druggy) ..anyway after my complaint he was never seen there again.
1-0 to the long haired unsuited normal bloke :)
