Use a proxy.

Wow, you can view this site through the great fire wall of china? I'm surprised. Err, I mean, don't try to circumvent the firewall, it's there for your protection.
Connecting to a proxy located outside of China probably is the best way to get past it, but make sure to only use it for blocked websites, because the proxy will have access to everything you send and receive, including your cookies and passwords, which are often sent unencrypted. SSL secured websites should in theory still be safe, but for the love of whatever deity you worship, make sure the certificate came from the website you're trying to view and not from the proxy itself, otherwise the proxy will be able to eavesdrop on your supposedly secure connection.

If it has a microprocessor, somebody somewhere has probably tried to install Linux on it. You'll probably want a distro compiled for the PowerPC, or I think an x86 distro for the newer intel based computers. Although I don't think the great firewall of China gives a damn about what operating system you're using.
