To be all honest, I never much listened to their work. I know about Sido's work more and I even kinda liked some of it. But I always disliked that mask he wore at first.

I just think they're perfect tools for dumbing down of the youth with their agressive songs without any depth.

Though I do remember seeing some report on Bushido a few months ago where it was shown how he is this rich successful rapper on one side but on the other he still lives at home with his mother and she does his laundry and cooks for him. A bit strange for such a tough gangsta rapper. =P

It just hit me that a few months ago I accidentally heard a song somewhere that didn't sit well with me. I later found out it's from Culcha Candela or whatever their name. The lyrics are below. On one side, they are describing the current situation of the world...everyone playing videogames, everyone is ill, cameras everywhere.....but the tone of it and the vibe of the song is just kinda off. Maybe cuz they're making fun of it...they do, after all, say "who cares it's like that, let's party while the world is going to hell". I don't know...even if the lyrics are genuine, something is still not right. It's like that fight club movie...good message but tons of sick subliminals that make you agressive. Did anyone else notice something off about the song?

Uuuuuhhhhh, great thread! In Merkels video at around 2:32 she even slightly corrects her hands to adjust, that really doesn't seem comfortable. And the button in the triangle, I've never noticed that! Also, as those speeches usually go on and on and on, she must have numb arms by the end of the speech! :D
I must admit, I really liked Bushido, he went on some kind of trip with what-is-his-name-again from MTV, the blond tall guy, and it was HILLARIOUS, I admittedly think that guy is funny. :o

Oh yeah, Thomas D. is awesome... I've seen a documentary about where he lives, in a commune... Clever guy. "Krieger" is one of my all time favourite songs, so many layers of knowledge! You can listen to the lyrics and get something differently out for you every time! A really really powerful song. Gives me a boost every time. :)

I saw him do it for the first goal but not the second. No, I've never seen a footballer do it before this WC if I'm honest. But I've only been conciously noticing it for a year or so.

I just read an interview regarding this with Klose. When questioned prior to the WC (been doing it in the Bundesliga and other international matches) about the celebration Klose responded, "This is so close to me who to see, and I do not need to explain, they understand." In a more recent interview he stated, "This represents my family, three fingers are my wife, Sylvia, two children Loin and Noah." Don't know how credible the site is.

they never played neonazi songs on albums nor on concerts. there is one song they made in an asylantenheim called türkähn raus or so. which is fun in itself. not neonazis just young people in a gang in frankfurt which btw i dont want to live there.

rammstein is more obvious than the uncles. after the uncles quit with rock o rama they made it on their own all these years just with the support of the fans. show me a successful band with that history.
