View Full Version : Real Time With Bill Maher - 911 Hecklers

Anyone watch Bill Maher on HBO? On the show tonight (which is taped live) the heckling started with a guy calling out info about WTC building 7 coming down with controlled demolitions. Maher let it go at first but the fellow continued to yell out. At this point Maher stood up and yelled "Don't we have any fucking security here!?" Then he actually ran up the stairs into the audience to help shove the guy out of the studio. This was followed by 2 more hecklers doing the same thing (timed to follow each other on purpose), each being escorted out of the studio by security.

During the disturbance Bill said..."This is the only thing I agree with Bush on." He then stated the people were crazy and went on with the show.

I really enjoy Bill Maher. He has great entertainment value and has many liberal views. I also believe, without a doubt, that all 3 of those buildings were taken down with explosives. So I found myself torn between his show being interrupted and the truth being screamed to everyone listening on live HBO television.

Just thought I'd share what I saw. Information is everything these days.

His guests tonight were:

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), talk show host Chris Matthews, and journalist Joel Stein. Plus via satellite, Pres. candidate John Edwards and chess grandmaster and Russian Pres. candidate Garry Kasparov.

I missed it, been swamped with work...

I like Bill Maher and think he's a pretty funny guy. I agree with his take on preventive medicine and Big Pharma, Ron Paul, etc., though I'm critical on his ass kissing to Israel.... Fine country, but we don't live there! An exCIA guy said defending Israel is not worth an American life on his show once, and Maher almost passed out. lol

Or rather, I will miss it lol

Heya, I also agree with many of his views. It was a bit odd to see one world collide with another live on TV. Every time I watch him I feel he's one joint away from hopping the fence on these issues. Or maybe he doesn't want to touch the subject because he already lost one show because of his views.

Sorry about the workload there. I just got done with my week and now I'm throwing a few back and doing a bit of web crawling ;)

Yeah a shitload... I was supposed to go out tonight, ask me why I'm still on the computer lol jeez...

Yup, I think he was just saving his show... but I'll have to actually watch it lol I think he's not really black or white on things though... he's pretty anti-pharma but if he had a big executive from a pharmaceutical company on his show, which would probably start ranting and raving about drugs and how many lives have been saved(when really civil engineering has saved most lives, ie insulted homes, toilets, sinks w/ running water, even soap, it wasn't first made as drug with triclosan, it was just antimicrobial fat from an animal or coconut)... Maher would probably nod his head to the pharma rep, because in a sense it's true... asprin has prevented heart attacks... but see the real issue is pushed out the way. Same thing... Building 7 is obviously touchy, but I'm sure he can't keep his job disagreeing with everything.

I hear ya. I spend 40+ hours on the PC at work, then I get home and find myself staring at the damned screen again :p The thing is either illuminating me or sucking the life right out of my eyeballs.

True true what you said above. Give it a watch on a replay. I can't say I've ever seen him quite that emotional before. I assume he's just defending his show, his guest's time and his planned topics. Live TV must be a bit stressful as it is. Wait till you see his "new rule" on air fresheners. Great stuff there :D

I hear ya...but if I can't take a step back from the big picture and laugh at the whole thing once in awhile I may go insane and lose my sense of humor.

I disagree with his views on 911 but I still think he's an excellent comedian. I don't hate the guy because of it. I hope he'll see the light and really confront it with a panel on his show some day.

They want you to laugh at what is going down so that you will be less
inclined to resist it. They want you to think your enslavement is "funny."

Laughing at it won't prevent insanity, it is insanity. It's the "glee of
insanity."

By all rights the American people should be outraged at what is going on but
instead they make jokes and laugh because of puppet masters like Maher and
others.

I am outraged on a daily basis. If you're not outraged you're not paying attention. According to you I'm insane though, so nothing I say will matter.

I dont hate Maher, I just dislike him intensely :D

And I dont find him funny. It's that old fashioned American style humour, it's not funny in my opinion. I just never laugh at it. I've tried to laugh believe me but it dont work.

I like the newer American stuff like The Simpsons. Friends was good too at one time. South Park is great. There are some great American comedians but Maher isnt one of them, he tries too hard and looks frightened most of the time. Yeah you're right I hate him. (just kidding lol)

I didn't say you were insane nor that what you say doesn't matter.

Laugh at Maher all you want. I only meant to warn you of the possible down side
of doing that.

Understood. I think we got off on the wrong foot. My name is Aaron, I'm from the US, Minnesota to be exact. After all the information I've gathered, after deciphering what is disinfo and what is reality, after all the emotions of waking up to everything around me there are still times when I have to take a step back in amazement of it all. Sometimes it may lead to watching the TV, sometimes it may lead to throwing a few back, sometimes it may lead to smoking a blunt and staring at the nightsky...and sometimes it simply makes me laugh. The responsibility is a great one which may be the reason I ended up on these forums in the first place...because I know others here will have an open mind to pretty much anything. Thanks for your concern and the heads up.

Thought about this forum last night as I watched Maher, and sure enough there is a thread about it today. You guys (and gals,) ROCK!!!

Did you notice when he looked to his panel to support throwing out the 9/11 guys that Sheila Jackson Lee said "I'm not going to say anything about the
1st amendment".

Go Sheila!

No doubt, I wish he would of invited them up to the panel to get things out in the open instead of helping to man-handle them out of the studio.

Yeah, and he goes "well good", just to avoid an uncomfortable silence. He made himself look like a complete dick throughout, like he did when he first "debunked" the idea that Bush exploded the towers (who's even saying that?). But then that's unavoidable when you're a complete dick I suppose. And a willing whore to boot.

And I agree with whoever said that his comedy is tried and dull. Most of it is like sitcoms-for-idiots comedy, and would require canned laughter is there wasn't such a readily available supply of sub-standard celebrity-worshipping groupthinkers.

Oh, and I love how he threw in a reference to the Latin to make himself sound intelligent. You could practically hear the jaws of morons in the audience (from the Latin) dropping.

BTW, who is Sheila Jackson Lee? Is she a big deal in America or not?

Didn't you just want to punch Bill Maher in his stupid face.

When the guy shouted "It's the only thing that matters", classic. I often wonder if I'd have the balls to do this sort of thing.

It does go out live. I've noticed when they run into tech issues (mics, prompters not working) there's not much they can do except fix it and move on.
