I don't know if he's really for the truth or not... Obviously his character supports bush and in doing so bashes him etc. But I honestly don't know who this man REALLY is, because he basically never breaks character, and when he does - it is hard to tell what he really thinks.
I noticed his age is 43... that number rings a few warning bells... but for the most part, I love Stephen, his comedy is just brilliant.

He's no Bill Maher, that for sure. Bill Maher is a cunt - he makes some sense with some issues, - but so does not put together the peices, and does not get it and yet he thinks he does which is why he's so dumb. Colbert as far as I can tell seems to basically be a conspiracy theorist, just hides it and exposes the issues by pretending to be the opposite. If that makes any sense. But that's how his comedy works and why it is so brilliant. I just wonder how many people actually think Coblert is the way his character acts. Obviously people like Bill O'Reily don't understand him at all(watch the youtubes of Bill and Stephen). I think that's why he gets away with the stuff he exposes on such a mainstream level. Many people don't relize his intentions and think he really does support bush and or whatever. I love how the mainstream media makes so sure to always call the colbert report a FAKE news program. It's more real than FOX news BS.
My heart wants to believe Colbert is actually a "truther", but by mind tells me to be careful.
As for Jon Stewart, I think he has good intentions, but just doesn't see the big picture.

It's like 'Man of the Year' with Robin Williams, except not shitty. LOl.
That is if this is even for real, could just be a great marketing idea for his newly released book.

I'll definitely be voting for the Colbert-Putin ticket.
