Whats the name of this film I remember??

I watched a film a fair old while back whilst still "asleep" and it effected me deeply even though I didn't understand why.
Anyway I'll explain the story.
It starts of in a small village set about 100 years ago shut of from the rest of the world and thats the way the people like it. The village elders tell their people that the towns folk are corrupt and not worth dealing with because they are all criminals. Anyway a man gets ill and a women insists on getting medical surplies from the town, but the village elders warn against and try to scare her away from leaving the village in all manor of ways. Eventually she gets to a fence and climbs and see's for the first time a road and a car pulls up because infact its not set in the past at all!.

It definitely sounds like The Village. A brilliant film by M Night Shayamaylan.

Isn't it interesting how the Elders keep the people trapped in the Village through fear (I won't post spoilers because there are so many great twists and bomshells in the film! You have to see it.). They also tell them that the people in othe outside world, "the towns" as they call it, are all evil. When Ivy finally meets someone from "the Towns" she says "You have a kind voice. i hadn't expected that."
