Tonight (16th October) at 10 pm, More4 are showing a program in their True Stories series entitled Ghosts of Abu Ghraib.
"Rory Kennedy's film asks how torture became accepted practice in Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison and how did U.S government policies make it possible?"

Did anyone just watch this? That was sick shit what was going on in that place, no empathy what so ever! Did you notice how the people at the top got away with it (as usual) without getting charged. while the lower ranking officers were catching prison a sentence!?

Yes I managed to watch it last night and it was absolutely shocking.
I'm of the opinion that without those sickening photographs as evidence of
the brutal torture and humiliating acts. The story wouldn't have ever made it into the mainstream media. It was a well made documentary, think it was by firecracker productions

It makes you wonder then what else is going on in places like this and guantamano bay that we do not get to hear about!

Donald Rumsfeld's ‘mother of all u-turns’ was embarrassing to watch.
How those who took part in the torture but as least seemed to show remorse were punished yet Maj. General Geoffrey Miller, the man in charge at the time gets a promotion is beyond me.
The 2006 Military Commissions Act signed by Bush, with its exemption from ‘war crimes’ committed by the U.S makes sense now though.

The film failed to address the alleged rape of Iraqi women held there, maybe that would have been too much for the masses to even contemplate.

Aztlan.net is a very anti Jewish site and there content is nothing to do with me. (just thought I’d slip that little bit in!)

Quite! Depending on your interpretation of the word quite.
