I think the ideea is Predator = indeed, Reptilian generic ( Ferocity, Cleverness, Superior and Powerfull ;; his race ;;) - the Predator is the representaion, at least at some higher % of the reptilian kin - even though it does not really have to resemble one.

An the cloaking device represents their way to "blend in" with envoirment, camouflage in society . And the trophy its something else, they dont prize humans so it may be ironic. Or it can reflect the importance of the human race DNA as other races think of us - in the movie the predator kills alot of humans only to get the 1 prized skull.

+ he's dumbass and gets his ass kicked - in case any .. predator reads this . hihi

"The Yautja - well known as Predators - are a hunting race from the furthest reaches of the universe. The males of the species live for the thrill of the hunt.Yautja are best classified as mammal-like reptiles, this means that they are warm-blooded creatures with a reptilian appearance, usually referred to as therapsids, which may hint at a synapsid evolution. Yautja are adapted to hot climates and can withstand temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). Although Yautja are warm-blooded, they cannot live in a cold climate. If an unprotected Yautja were to be exposed to temperatures below 10°C (50°F), it would probably die within a few hours."

apparently the original predator was more lizard like:

"Played to great effect in Predator. The original Predator costume was a rather goofy and awkward lizard; the crew asked for a new monster design very shortly after seeing the original. The designer decided to try something with mandibles..."

Just fiction I think. Reptilians don't look like this.

Weird that someone mentioned a predator on the DIF cause I've been dreaming that I am a predator, a few times over the past few weeks. Lol it's pretty sweet but sadly the dreams don't last as long as I'd like :(

The Predator is a fictional alien.

As a fictional alien from outer space and indeed another planet, he can't be subject to biological taxonomic terms we apply to the species of our own planet.

I suppose appearance wise, the person behind the creative conception of the character was influenced by reptilian animals.

Then again... I suppose those of a paranoiac tendency can look at everything as an agenda in predictive programming.

And I don't mean to say the OP is if it seems like I am projecting that, but I've observed that MOST people on these forums see an agenda in everything.

That's an extremely paranoid way to live your life. Can't sometimes a cigar just be a cigar?

Oh come on diky. You can do better than that. ;)

Actually wait, you know what... I wish I was a shill. I could do with the money.

Seriously though, just because I don't agree that a fictional character is based on something supposedly real, doesn't mean I am a shill.

It just means I have a different point of view.

I'm not sure if you were just having fun with your post or not, but if you weren't, that costume is from the 1966 Hammer film THE REPTILE, not an original Predator costume. :)
