Does anyone have any information on how Cathederals and Churches can be places of negativity, as in conduits of negative vibes energy.
I think Icke spoke about this in THE BIGGEST SECRET, But I don't have a copy of the book at hand.
Last weekend my dad visited a cathederal in Canterbury, the place Thomas A. Beckett was murdered, and he has felt depressed the whole week and I'd like some info to show him RE. cathederals are places of negativity, as he seems to think they are spirtually enlightening.

I feel a lot of negative energy when I look at this one when !'m walking past. It's got all spiky and pointy bits on it that make it look really ugly.

I think lots of churches and cathedrals can give off bad vibes.
There are quite a few wiccan and occult groups in edinburgh that meet in some churches here.
not in the main body of the church but in the bits unaccessable to the public.
I had some photo's taken off certain websites ......I'll see if i can find them.
I have no idea how to post an image here though......could someone explain how?

Wawel cathedral is one of those cathedrals. Situated on Wawel hill in Krakow Poland it is where Pope John Paul 11 gave his first mass in the crypt in 1946. That crypt houses remains of Polish kings, national heroes and more recently became burial place for President Lech Kaczynski and wife Maria. It is one of the most morbid Cathedrals. The skull and bones signatures are creepy and nothing to rejoice anyone. It is a gloomy and dark place. The kind of place that makes you feel like something is wrong here. And something is awfully wrong with that religion.

I am glad someone else has mentioned this because I have always got bad vibes off churches and cathedrals for as long as I can remember!
The size of some of them, it makes me ill just to look at them. Instead of being places of peace I feel a great sense of unease whenever I am in a church of any kind :(

Cathedrals are interesting places for sure. The scariest one I know is the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona designed by Antoni Gaudi.
I'm fairly certain that the design for most cathedrals is other dimensional. Most of them give such an odd feeling when you look at them. Some have good vibes, though. Like Chartres cathedral: I felt very peaceful when I visited it.
And even though I've read about how they were built, I still don't understand how they did it in the middle ages. The scale of it and that perfect, unbroken stone arching into the sky is nothing short of magical.

the craftmanship of buildings is simply nothing but jawdropping.
I, like the previous poster, have sometimes been in a 'religious' building and pondered why I didn't feel peaceful .......if that makes any sense.
I've never really given it any great deep of thought...ust always struck me as odd :D

Another creepy cathedral is St Vitus in Prague. The dark city of Gollem. It is located within Prague castle and houses the remnants of many Bohemian kings. Amongst them King Ottokar II of Bohemia. In Dante's Divine comedy Ottokar II is seen waiting at the gates of purgatory. The Cathedral bears all of the usual Illuminatis' symbols (the rose, gargoyles, etc...) There is an obelisc right behind it capped with a golden pyramid. But there are also very peculiar things about that cathedral. There is a crown chamber that holds the Coronation Jewels. It is situated above the southern vestibule of St-Vitus Cathedral. There are 2 consecutive doors that lead to this iron safe. It takes 7 keys to open up the 2 doors. And seven "higher ups" detain those keys. These 7 people must be present at the same time to get to the vault. They include the President, the prime minister , the archbishop of Prague and the Lord Mayor of the city amongst these people. The crown jewels ca be seen only at the castle and only if the President approves. They have been on display only 9 times during the twentieth century. These jewels include the St-Wenceslas Crown, the Royal sceptre (sceptre of Ottokar ), the Royal Orb, the coronation vestments. The crown weighs 2.5 ks of pure gold. It has 4 fleurs-de-lis plus two arches. The Royal orb is decorated with 6 miniature sphinxes. But there is something else that just doesn't feel right. Stained glass by artist Alphonse Mucha that looks more like it belongs in Disneyland and Alice in Wonderland...Hum...Church, crowned heads and Disney....

They are not Atheist, their God is Satan. All of this has been preserved and cherished by bloodlines of crowned heads and their court jesters. The church and their puppets. Politicians and their muppets.

Anyone interested in the specific symbolism , design and attributes of many Gothic Cathedrals in Europe should look into this book by Fulcanelli
The Mystery Of The Cathedrals - Fulcanelli
http://digitalseance.wordpress.com/2007/08/22/fulcanelli-the-mystery-of-the-cathedrals/
He was a genuine alchemist born in 1839 who (according to wikipedia) apparently was last seen in 1953 (which would have made him 114?!)
Fulcanelli - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Unfortunately I cant copy and paste from the downloaded pdf (This book is from 1922 and is freely available ... I'll try to copy something on another computer later)
----------------
The whole idea that Gothic Cathedrals contain secret hidden Alchemical Hermetic symbolism from going back to ancient times (and perhaps funded by those with an interest in preserving symbolism even the Church would not want) is fascinating.
-----------------
Apparently a whole new chapter was added later on by Fulcanelli regarding:
The Cyclic Cross of Hendaye
Which is a small cross in a French Churchyard. This book and this cross has lead many people to speculate and wonder about the hidden symbolism. Jay Weidner even has a whole detailed theory suggesting that the cross symbolises a 'double catastrophe' and the safe place is in the caves in Cusco Peru.
But others suggest his interpretation is off.

Yes, the whole 'We're atheists' stance taken by the leadership throughtout all countries of the former Eastern Bloc/ Warsaw pact was simply PR- Deception for the consumption of the masses.
That much is clearly evident.

I think many of the large cathedrals in the UK & Europe are amazing buildings (I love the oens in Krakow & Prague) - I always make the effort to visit one & they don't leave me depressed or negative at all.
The OP is kind oif assuming it must be the church causing the problem, it might be something else entirely (why feel the need to go to the church in the first place?).
What about this place then? The Chapel of Bones in Faro, Portugal:

The catacombs in Brno with the mummified monks is also very interesting.

I've visited Prague and am aware of that Cathedral, something about alot of Cathedrals is just not right, perhaps it has something to do with the opulence lavished upon them, while alot of poor people suffer.
In the Ivory Coast in West Africa the Church has built a huge Cathedral, and of course with the problems that part of the world faces, it was imo expenditure they could ill afford.
This does not, of course detract from the architectural and aesthetic appeal some find in these places.

It is true that there is a lot of wealth lavished on Europe's cathedrals, but on the other hand the building of them created work for many builders & local craftsmen. How free they were to negotiate a fair wage is another matter!

Here's La Sagrada Familia. It was built in the 19th century.
