Anyone got a good picture chart or link to a website that has pictures and descriptions on the different types of crystals and how to use them.
I have an urge to learn about them.

I was given the book "The Crysal Bible" and it's really good for telling you what crystals are good for what.

I read an article once, i think it may have been in a Nexus magazine or a New Dawn magazine, about the power of crystals and it was amazing.
This was in about 1995 when i was starting to awake from my slumber.
Before then I'd never realized that crystals have an energy. When i started reading that they're used in radios, tv's, electronics etc because of this ability it really made me think more about them.
Up until then i just thought that they was a cool stone that my hippy friends digged :D

I Am All I Am brought all him crystals to the Australian meet-up and I'm telling you, the energy you get off them is intense!
I wear a Malachite around my neck a close friend gave me and used to wear a Rose Quartz around my neck but the chain broke on it, need to buy a new one!
Amazing things they are, no doubt about it!

You can buy the crystals at crystal shops and atrology shops anywhere....I picked up a nice chunk of Rose Quartz for 3 pound at Glastonbury! I just selotaped it to a shoestring! haha
Talk about a shoestring budget! haha

by the way, have you noticed that crystals lose their energy? they need clearing often. you need to put them outside in the full moon to clear them.

It depends on what you come in contact with. I'm generally embraced in very favorable situations all the time, so my Rose Quartz is happily imbued! :D

I would never buy a crystal online. You do not choose a crystal. It chooses you so it doesn't really work from a picture :)

Yeah thanks for the recommendation honey, it's an amazing book! I gotta get myself some Moldavite, it's my next crystal purchase, WOW!!!:D

They still need to be recharged :)
Putting them out in the full moon is one way, you can place them on sand or put them outside in the rain or snow. You can also place them in a pyramid or a sacred place plus various other ways.

Your right, some do need 'cleansing', but not all, like kynite doesn't due to its high frequency range, it's constantly transmuting energy, but it is a very delicate piece of crystal, also selenite, got to be careful not to put it in water or it'll dissolve.
I tend to leave the crystals buried in the earth in the garden for 24 hrs so to absorb both sun and moon energy, with quartz family i leave them in a small crystal bowl with salt water....depends on what you've been using them for also!!
Crystals have been part of my life since 5 yrs old and I wouldn't be without them!
Not only that but look at the techonology that uses quartz, clocks computers, (quantum computers) etc...there's so much we have yet to learn from them, jewels of the Earth!!:)

Hard to tell without being able to see it 'in reality' ... but it does look very similar to serpentine...a good crystal supplier/shop would be able to confirm what it is though if you took it in.

yep i had a few of those that you mentioned. they made me hyper!! evertime i would hold them so much energy. i am reallly sensitive to crystals.
