There is a book called 'The Power of Now', it is written by Eckhart Tolle, im sure many of you on this forum have read it, if you haven't, i extremely recommend reading the book!

I purchased the book earlier this year after a spiritual friend of mine suggested reading it, i had briefly scanned a few of the pages shortly after i got it and knew generally about the concepts of which it includes, but i didn't start reading it until earlier today when i randomly had the urge too, as if it 'was time' for me to take in the information fully. I can safely say this book is adding another transformation phase in my life, i feel like i am starting to walk up towards another metaphorical mountain peak in regards to understanding this reality, and how to interact within it most efficiently.

For those who dont know what the information within the book entails, i will briefly outline my understanding of its teachings so far. The basic underlying communication is, humans when in situations in life, be they emotionally demanding or not, generally look to the past for guidance, or project a hopeful future to 'get them through' them moments, what eckhart tolle helpfully points out, is that we can only change the NOW, accept what is, and instead of worrying about what may or may not happen, deal with the problem the best way you can in 'the moment' which is the only time that ever exists.

He also points out correctly, that we are not our mind, and for too many people the mind governs the experience, rather than what we are, consciousness, governing what we would like to do. There is a lot more to what he writes about, and im sure i missed some very important information in the little summary that i have just typed up, but i would like to think i gave a general idea of what Eckhart Tolle is sharing with the world. I would also add that, David Icke has wrote about some of this material aswell, but eckhart has been more comprehensive on this particular subject, because naturally this is his sole teaching, whereas David ties in numerous other subjects, so he understandably writes more generally about these specific parts of the nature of reality.

I might be only 30 odd pages into this book, but i am very impressed by the content thus far, and im sure the appreciation of this work will continue in the remainder of it, it's getting five stars from me! :)

Yeah I have read it. It really is an amazing book. It is one of those that can change peoples lives.
Eckhart also wrote a book called "A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose". Also very good book.
I definitely recommend anything from that author.

Agreed - I read "A New Earth" first on a recommendation from a friend. I normally hate reading books due to their linear nature, I prefer flitting around on the net... but it's all totally engrossing insight in to what I am, who others are, what motivates us, our emotions and more.

brilliant.
