Hey guys and girls,

OK without turning this thread into a rant or criticisms of moderators/ personal attacks etc has anyone got any good ideas or suggestions that would make this forum a better place?

If so we'd like to hear them, please tho no questions about moderation as they wont be answered on the boards but via pm.

Just to add to this, we'll be collecting ideas and suggestions for the next week and then discussing them to see if there are any we can put to practical use. So this thread is open for a week for you to give us any ideas you may have...

I think there should be an equivalent of a 'swear box'
for people who call everyone who disagrees with them a 'troll'.
Each forum member sets up an account holding 'swear box' credit
and each time the accuser calls someone a troll £10 is deducted
and transferred into the accused's account.
That should sort things out some ;)
I for one would be substantially richer by now.
Unfortunately though, certain people would be
eating lunch at the soup kitchen.

site navigation isn't bad.

And current moderation isn't terrible.

I'm sure there are things that could use fixing or that are needed here.
I'll write back when I can think of them.

Use it with the strongest harmony of consciousness we can

And that is ALL we need to do

Any "problems" with the forum are also Illusions becuase it is how we choose to see it and how we choose to use it that is all that counts: its only by ownign that that the forum could ever be what we might hope for via its potential

And if we DON'T use it, we can hardly be suprised when others do, or if they do not use it as we would

Two things, imo, that would make this place just abit better would be;

* More smilelys that you don't have to load from anotehr website. However, allow the most popular smileys a permedent resisdence in the smiley box.

*An IRC channel for the ICKE forums would cure up the live chat for awhile.

I understand the "dangers" in an IRC live chat, but I'm sure sean is skilled enough to know them. Also, this owuld save space and time because you won't need to worry about some java feature, and people could speak to each other right then and there. Also, it's easier to control depending on the whole "trolling" problem.

I'm not sure about the whole "swear jar" thing ( I have yet to hear a responce about cash payments and installments for PS membership), I don't think that's a good idea.. Too "tax those guys who disagree" sorta thing, you know. A divide and conqure idea.

Anyways, those are my thoughts.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, a few other ideas.

Alow your avatar to be a moving image if wanted. Like, if it was a anamated .gif, that would be cool. I had this great one of batman running throught a crowded area with a bomb, but it sucks if it can't move. :(

And maybe only 1, if at all, image in your sig.

That's all.

Avatars can be gif already :)

I think a signature image would be cool.. though definately as long as there is a size limit (particularly height).

Cut out moving graphics. I hate that shit. Seriously, if people want to be kiddies then there are plenty of playgrounds to visit, such as myspace. As for the rest of us they are just a distraction. I'm serious; I often skip reading posts because of them and sometimes an entire thread. They often are the ones with inane stupidity and childishness and so I don't miss anything but all the best forums I know cut it out altogether. It attracts the wrong people anyway and then they put off potential people who might have contributed some good discussion because they got a bad impression of it. The old Icke forum went right down hill until it folded and all because of these stupid cretins who wanted to play rather than discuss anything. They were pig ignorant and not very well mannered either. Ask Harris if you don't believe me.

this is a good idea.... I'm just trying to help some of you grow up. You might have thought this unnecessary but you can see what I mean a couple of posts back?

It depends on the kind of forum you want. Forgive me for my ignorance but was it not David Icke's mission to spread the word about the New World Order and so on? You can see the kind of attacks the CT people are getting from the mainstream, so by acting like kiddies you make their job so much easier. Why do you think smilies were invented? I expect they came straight out of the Tavistock Institute if the truth be known. Now that might be difficult for some of you lot to understand because you are being systematically dumbed down by your schools and your media. So either you play in your playground 'blissfully unaware of the dogs lurking nearby' or you get real. Your choice.

it could work if he made appearances on there, but the chances are it would be hard to control it as so many would be firing questions and so on .... it would not be easy as David does like to shoot from the hip and talk alot :), so it might not be the most effective way to communicate, especially with his hands not being the quickest at typing...

maybe a few posters in a hat that get round up for it every so often but like I say typing is not his strength and he might not go for it...

worth an idea though...

Ahh but it looks like Our Dave's gone Back to Basics again
and is making it his 'mission' to draw our attention to
the 'vibrational magnetism' that is The Law of Attraction...

You are expecting smilies and animated gifs to be another negative
in a world you perceive to be full of negatives.
Why can't they just be a way of expressing oneself online
where tone etc can be difficult to convey without them?
Or maybe they are just a bit of fun?
It's worrying that you see conspiracy even in
silly pictures on a computer screen.
If they irritate you so much, why not download Firefox browsera add-on
and block them all?
You might not like them, but lots of people do and
personally I can't see the problem -
unless you're running an ancient pc or
don't have the use of your middle finger to use the mouse wheel
to scroll past what you don't like.

What this site need is:

a.) a full clean-up

b.) more (specific) rules, because some members were banned for something that was never mentioned ... some people can't control their emotions so they want to get rid of that person at all costs... Maybe there should be (on top) a Sub-Section for new members to read before posting ...

c.) Mods and/or Advisors would be called Forum Staff

d) Having non-serious Section (like Rant-Room) at the bottom. It could be called "General Offtopic", because some people here like to post off-topic material in General thread that is or could be in my opinion a place where serious material is posted and discussed...

A live chat feature might prove popular.
This kind of things slows the whole page and its loading down...

There will always be crazy people, disinformation, government agents, etc. The best thing to do is to meet together regularly in groups, but even that is subject to crazy people and government disinformation agents. There is no way to stop it, so the only way to make things better is if you try to make things better by being kind to one person at a time.

so you neglect Pummas ideas and jump on the DI singles dating.. you mods are mad. Your so self mindset that a clean up is too much, you could ofc as i previously suggested act upon posts, or make people post in the right topic subject.

NO! you'd rather have a fucking dating agency.

Crazy... runs off to register www. DIdating.com /joke

come on sort out the fucking forum before you start to wa&k

ITS A MESS!!!!!!

I dont mind Ideas etc, but This forum is a fucking mess! everything from GW Bush to Hugh Hefner is been posted in this section... and they never get fucking moved, lazy imo... I know its a lot of work, I dont ask for this to be done in one day, but 3 mods popping up on a post for a fucking dating agency when i cant even find posts that are relevant to my own research after 2 days.. its silly, I do use the search function but now i endup writing down the title topic so i can actually find it.....

I understand that people may be single and I dont want to get in their way of happiness, but FFS the mods want to actually make a new section when they cant even "control or be bothered to mod" the sections we have just seems stupid!

Its getting stupid when the general and new news section adds up to more than 70% of the posts, then the posts either dont get moved to the appropriate sections or just get bumped back up, and yeah some are very relevant, but they get lost in the pure spam of new stuff in the same section where as in the relevant section they wouldnt get lost and may even be stickied...

thats my opinion, i've posted about it before , i dont give a f*ck what others think its just what I see happening.

It's only difficult to convey something when you have been dumbed down. Do you think Shakespeare would have been better using smilies?

I have given you my opinion on what I think. I'm saying masses of kiddie graphics is a distraction to the function of this forum unless you are just being entertainers here. You are either one or the other, you can't be both.

This forum should be about what people have to say, not who can find the most idiotic graphics. I'm warning you in fact because I have seen the results of this type of thing. Eventually on the old Harris forum all the sensible people had left and the most common thing was that it was used to post pornography. As I said, you either go with mass dumbing down or you run a forum that is serious. Unfortunatly, as with any system thing you will find the popular opinion is to dumb it down.

i think that some people here already use this forum as if its a chatroom

imo forum posts are saved because they are supposed to have useful info

that where a chat would help, the people that just wanna chat and stuff could keep it there and since the idle chatter often isnt worth saving because it's not relevent when the convo is over, it just goes off into chat room oblivion hehehe

strider
16-10-2007, 05:34 PM
Chatroom sounds a good laugh but I'm not really that bothered personally. It could get very messy in there, just look at some of the threads. They go a lot slower, yet the mods still have a time keeping up with it sometimes.

Plus, there will be people coming on there just to throw nasty insults around and generally be shitty, not that it bothers me, but it really bothers some..

A good idea, if the forum did get a chat room, is to first of all put people forward like all the regulars and set them as bots for a room, maybe 3 in a room. That way, one mod could easily look after the room or rooms then..

Your reply could have come right out of the Tavistock manual. Don't confuse people who want to have some serious debates about interesting things with being grumpy. If not being grumpy is falling for mainstream dumbing down then surely you can see you are just parroting their tune without the interception of your brain. As for me, well I have heard it all before. Tell me something I don't know and I might stop yawning and find you interesting. This is what it is all about, what you have to say and what you have found out. Otherwise why bother coming here in the first place?

Hullo Blue! A starter thread for the newbies is a great idea, where they can post on the Forum same as everyone (if they want to) but the thread will be for them only. It would be a way to get a feel for the place, and get to know a few posters whom they feel comfortable talking with. Maybe by about 100 posts or so they will be obligated to post to the regular Forum only and will have their Av removed.

A question and answers section is also a good idea!

Nah that would be the precise wrong direction to take. Icke is seen as a guru by many but he has said you people need to think for themselves, which makes him at odds with virtually any other guru I have come across. However I do think he should spends some time on this forum and chat to people. Maybe he does already under a different name but I mean he should face the music and it would benefit him as much as anyone else. I'm not saying he should do it too much as he won't have any time to do any research and book writing but it would be nice to see him once in a while.

Collective goal?

Well I don't believe there's an organised collective goal here on the
DI forum, but surely working together is at least doing something positive?
Maybe even just demonstrating that it can be done?

Whatever, IMO it sure beats just sitting round watching as humanity continues
merrily along it's present course, getting closer and closer to the great precipice
that surely awaits if we DON'T learn to work together. ;)

And without an "organised collective goal", then what would people work together on? All these cries about needing to work together, and to show "unity", and whatever are just attempts to get people to stop disagreeing.

Besides, the internet is good for nothing more than communication. That's it. Working towards a common goal (whatever that may be ) needs to take place offline.

Why must there necessarily be a collective goal? How about this, we'll make unity the "collective goal".

You speak of unity as if it is something to be avoided and disregarded. Division is one of many ingredients that maintains the current condition of the human population as is. I'll take unity over division every time. The internet is "good" for many things, but it depends on the intentions and mind state of the person(s) or group using it.

Then be "united" with me.

I don't believe that unity is something that should necessarily be avoided, just not something which should be forced and contrived. That kind of unity suppresses individuality and differences of opinion and motive.

Usually when someone calls for "unity", they mean they want everyone to unite under their ideas, their opinions, their goals, their motives, their beliefs, their perspective, etc..... It's a very manipulative poli-trick: Call for unity, then when people disagree with your idea of what qualifies as "unity", you can accuse them of being a divider. George W. Bush loves this technique and uses it often.

Who said? Who's rule is that?

Surely you must be joking about the Internet being good for nothing more than communiction? It has been my personal experience that having access to the Internet is like a multifaceted doorway to anywhere-I-like. Its an information highway and the learning never stops. I don't believe its even reached it highest calling yet, but already its bringing people together who whould otherwise never has known of each other.

If we use it wisely, the Internet is the key to our freedom from fascism and slavery, and this is why the PTBs have been experiencing great gnashings of teeth in their attempts to censor and even shut down this monstor they created....they know the Internet has the potential to be their downfall if all humans learn to take advantage of what's available at the click of a finger ;)

Why? Because the Internet is giving us back a sense of spiritual connectedness, which THEY have tried so hard to shut off in us in order to keep us compliant, needy, frightened and in need of THEM and their control system. Their goal is to keep us from ever experiencing true unity, and the internet has the power to give us unity....its the closest we can come to connecting our minds together and working as a force to be reckoned with.

But this can only happen when people stop being fooled and tricked by methods designed to keep us divided, resentful and suspicious of others. The moment humans learn to work as a collective force, its game over for our controllers, and THEY know it ;)

Exactly. And what does that involve? Learning? An information highway? People being able to speak to each other who otherwise never would have? All of those things are aspects of communication. Me stating that the internet can only be used for communication is not me stating that the internet is useless and wrong. I'm just pointing out that the internet is limited solely to the function of communication, so any collective goal of an internet forum would also have to be limited to the function of communication. Anything else would have to take place offline. That really shouldn't be too controversial.

So, considering that the internet is limited to communication, then what would "unity" on the internet involve? What would "united communication" look like? What form would it take? How can you conduct honest communication without it resulting in some degree of division? How can you communicate with a "collective goal" when differences of opinion are inevitable?

I don't mean "force" as in: forced at the end of the barrel of a gun. You left out the word "contrived", which I also used. What I mean is, a person forcing themselves to contrive an attitude of "unity" by keeping quiet when they have a difference of opinion, holding back what they really think and how they really feel just to avoid disrupting the "unity" of the crowd.

And that's essentially what you're endorsing here: A crowd mentality. Group-think. Hive-mind. No thanks.

Not a hive mind - humanity is already being controlled like a hive full of worker bees, but instead of a queen, we have an elite group of decrepits calling the shots and telling us how we should live like slaves to them and their system!

Absolutely not. I'm not endorsing anything here, thats something the puppeteers do. I'm simply stating the obvious, that unity is integral to our future. Again, you seem to have a very (excuse my being blunt) warped perception of what unity really is or rather should be.

Its somewhat indescribable but I'll put forth a few elements of what it is. An awareness and realization of our all being equal to one another, both spiritually and otherwise. To share the mutual feeling of love and respect. A knowing of overcoming negative notions by coming together in unison against all that attempts to divide the people's hearts and spirits. To realize the physical of our being matter not and that all trivial pursuits in the face of eternal happiness are just that, trivial and should be pursued no more.

No, we're talking here about spiritual connectedness and that's something completely different. The reason so many people have trouble understand this is because its something we've never had!

Collective goal?

Well I don't believe there's an organised collective goal here on the
DI forum, but surely working together is at least doing something positive?
Maybe even just demonstrating that it can be done?

To what end. Is the feeling of positivity the collective goal then?

Whatever, IMO it sure beats just sitting round watching as humanity continues
merrily along it's present course, getting closer and closer to the great precipice
that surely awaits if we DON'T learn to work together. ;)

Okay, so lets do a forum intention project about HAARP exposure or Chemtrail exposure or child slavery, or maybe just a simple one of sending out an open forgiveness vibe to Jerusalem or something...just ideas.

:)

It's about the forum as a whole, not just a section of it..

How many people have signed up here, went in the general and made a post and then had it ripped to shreds by the inane idiots that reside here, and then never come back.

How many people that could've made a valuable contribution have been scared off?

Good point strider! I remember my first post:eek:

Well this isn't stuff the moderators can make decisions about.....it member contribution stuff, so this thread is probably not the right place for this....
...but yes tes we've already done this with the Wagga Wagga rain experiment, and we proved that as a group of well intentioned people we can be very successful when we work together.

So why don't we do another such project where the entire forum (all those who wish to participate at least) work together to project their intention towards a desired goal? There are many new members since the Wagga Wagga days, so I'm sure some of our new-comers would probably enjoy the positive energy that flows when a group of us work together using our innate abilities to create a desired outcome.

No doubt members could come up with a host ides for a new project, but the only problem with opening the thread to suggestions, is that we will be here for a month of Sundays deciding, as there are SO many worthy causes.

Personally I like all three of the example suggestions you have put forward (they are all VERY relevant and deserved) so if you're keen (no worries if you're not) can I suggest that you host a thread in general and suggest to members that for the purpose of another forum project (and to save a lot of going round in circles), we jointly decide as a group on which of the three above suggestions we ought to concentrate on? Use a pole maybe?

EDIT: Of course I meant poll :p

How about slightly stricter laws for those who come on, have no intention of ever posting anything positive, and just argue with all and sundry..

I personally prefer to watch them implode, but their overall influnce can become detrimental if left to run for too long.

I look at it like this. Say you opened your doors and and invited the whole street in for a party and someone started to cause trouble, being aggressive, and were causing friends to leave, you would usher them to the door and tell them goodbye..

The amount of people that must be put off by even joining in the first place is a loss, as we still have to deal with all the ranting and raving and the utter senseless drivel, and could've lost a couple of potential good friends..

I too believe we are losing new friends here and good intentioned members, as we all know, are seriously peed off with fake 'good intentioned' members. The moderators are doing a grand job of things under the circumstances, we can all see that. But I feel there should be more diverse ways that would benefit both mods and posters that gets the message out to troublemakers. We will not take your divisions.

It's alright blaming me for my police threads getting trolled time after time after time. I'm not saying I am going to, but if I decided to leave this forum because of a few trouble makers, then look at what this forum will lose. I'm not a particularly important person on my own, but most of you clever ones know that to put someone like me together with the good people on here, as in the glastenbury affair, and a couple of projects with John White, then I become a very usfull person to have around. I meet up with people from here and make films that are a benefit to our course. I've had a pm from another member who is working on a grand filming project and he's asked me if I would like to get involved with him. This is what unity is about. These are the type of people I came on here to get to know.

I came hear to learn and get out the control box I was born into.

I came here to try to understand myself better, not to be told the shite that comes from the trolls.

I came here to meet the movers and the shakers, not the trolls and the trouble makers.

Have some thoughts and concern for us who are not yet elivated to higher levels of themselves.

I live in madness and mayhem and this place was a way to learn and improve myself and my work positively. I know for a fact many many people are not happy with the situation, mods included.

This forum is not a stable learning enviroment for people. The people on this site could create the biggest movement for freedom this world has ever seen. I know this in my heart.

But the truth of the matter is this, who wants to do the deed and get this site a bad rep amongst stupid trolls? I don't care who calls me hitler, I'm not scared of being called a facist.

If that is what it takes to to get unity in here I would take the stick. Would you?

It's not like we are asking for them to be jailed or worse now is it?

Well said dondaz, but you have to understand that the behind the frivolous things are the very essense of what is shaping the minds of the folks. I did wholeheartedly support you against december, but calling me a troll was bang out of order.
That thread I did about looking good, meant that people are treated differently to what/and how they are treated. If you want to make a successful form, you have to embrace all forms of people. The world will be a boring place if everyone was alike. Did you know that the Chinese are a successful people because they have to know two sides of the story. actually you would of got on very well with my brother.:)
But remeber this dondaz, and no stupidity please, the forces behind The Sun/Mirror, Fox and CNN can actually mould the thoughts of others. They hook them with the friviolous stuff, and yes I will see your film properly if you understand what I am trying to say.
as for the videogames, they have many illumanti symbolisms in it to hook folk in the first place.

this is a good idea.... I think this is more a mod action thing... we should change the religion room to religion/race and move all related threads there...as 9/10 they turn into heated debates or rows.... so at least people will know what to expect if they chat there and don't have to come across it in the general room... as its a row that's easy to get sucked into while defending your self....

Easy. It's called "forum navigation".

The "general" forum is for various rants and raves from people who don't really have a point, they just want to get their "forum freak-on" with other maniacs. Any one who thinks people will expound the entire Ickeian philosophy in "general" will sorely be disappointed, and think all Ickeians are maniacs with no point at all, or just really stoned, just like the other forums.

The other forums (9/11, Political Manipulation / Cover-Ups, Big Brother / Microchipping / Problem-Reaction-Solution, etc.) have more specific topics.

I agree about focusing on negative events and thus giving them energy.

We didn't focus on Wagga NOT having rain. We focused on it raining in Wagga, and it did.

So whatever the attention is on, we only see a positive outcome, not exposing the negative.

Ah hell! Not sure I explained that very well but I hope you get my drift :)

More-so a kind of... whacky intuitiveness.

They're so smart, and have such a knowledge of what's going on behind the curtains of reality, that they can't help but just shit on it all, the whole system, with perfectly placed one-liners and just sheds light on everything by going out of the norm.

And it's contagious !

- not post divisive threads
- make as many life-affirming posts as possible
- make more posts in the "what we can do" section which is the most important one

tiswas, your input is always welcome, but can you please be more considerate of others and use smaller font? People will read your posts if your comments are interesting, so there's no need to shout in bright pink font.

Thanks for your consideration :)
