OMG, I've just had my heart broken:

This lion was reared by the guys in the vid,he was then released into the wild in africa but a year later the guys returned to see if he was doing OK.
Check out the look on the lions face as he realises-"thats not food its my MATES!!"
Whats mad is the wild lions hes friends with never met the humans but they are totally passive towards them.
I love this clip, and think its better than any amount of lion snuff vids that get posted about the place.

WOW!!! that big cat could have caused a lot of damage to them, they really did put a lot of trust in to their relationship with him. The lion was so gentle and enthusiastic but remained in control of his natural ability. That was amazing :D

True friends :D

Be nice to animals and they will be nice to you.

That was amazing! But is this usual? I've heard many people say that some of these animals, no matter how seemingly domesticated, can snap or have a "lapse of domesticity" so to speak. I love animals, but I would not trust one that could rip me to pieces.

Great point - my take on it is this - The whole planet has a consciousness thats interacting with all things all the time. All we've ever know in our lifetimes is war and the destruction of wildlife and its habitats, so there's a level of hostility in everything. When the veil is lifted and we reach the other side of this crap, and mankind transcends desire for war, power, and domination - then this will be reflected in the animal kingdom as well. The whole planet will be 'chilled'.

I saw a newly born deer once in the middle of a forest, we were the first humans it had ever seen. It didn't bolt and let us get very close, it hadn't learnt to fear humans yet. Its all about mutual understanding and respect.

And dolphins have worked out that lots of us are intelligent and fun to be with! :D

If you like stories like that then I think you'll love Tom Browns books...He was raised by an apache Indian and spent much of his time observing nature, some of the stories of compassion between animals was absolutely amazing.

In one of his stories he raised a baby weazel who's family had died, he taught it how to survive in the wild and then let it go, after about a year he just so happened to return to that spot and was just chilling out when he felt a wet sniffing in his ear, when he looked it was his pet (I forgot his name) and then it ran away, a few minutes later came his misses and a load of youngens and they all were completely unafraid and playful with him.

I agree. Shodan's clip was very affecting, but I personally wouldn't want to risk it with a lion. Has anyone seen 'Grizzly Man'? It's about a bloke who goes and lives literally next to Grizzly Bears for 10+ years I think and one day one of them kills him. Fair credit to anyone who manages to build that kind of bond though. It's all good.

I'll stick to dogs I think. :)

razed I could only watch the first five minutes of that. I was half hoping the lion would jump back up and set about them! Keeping an animal in a cage like that.
