Theories on Forms of Demonic Manipulation and Possession
By
The Psychic Alchemist
[/font]
All thoughts that I present here are merely my theories regarding demonic possession and manipulation. You may agree with them, or you may not, but these are my theories. Please note, that in these theories, I'm not saying these WILL lead to manipulation or possession, I'm saying these can cause the opportunity for each outcome to take place.
What is manipulation within the context of the discussion? It's the organization and misuse of properties in and around a person in order to get them to do what you want them to do. There are various means by which a demon can manipulate someone. They are as follows: thought manipulation, manipulation of the ego, manipulation of actions, and manipulation of emotions. I will attempt to explain each of these below. Please note they all interact in a circle and the manipulation of one often leads to the manipulation of most, if not all listed. These all-lead back to the same three things, greed, ignorance, and hatred. Be wary my friend. The difference between manipulation, and possession is that in manipulation they are moving you like a puppet using forces, from outside of your body. Possession is when someone is totally taken over by a demon, and they are used from within the person's body.
1. Forms of Manipulation.
Manipulation of thoughts is when demons use your thoughts to control your actions to accomplish what they want done. For example, say you lust after a woman. They use this to cloud your mind to truth through the emotions and ideas associated with wanting to have that sort of a relationship with that woman. Through that cloud of judgment, they not only bring you down to the level where they can manipulate you, they also bring down the girl if she interacts with you in that manner.
Manipulation of the ego is when a demon manipulates your perceptions regarding your place and position in the universe to make you seem you are more than you actually are. I.e. they manipulate you into arrogance. By this happening you display actions that you are better than everyone else, no one can touch you, and nothing can stop you. Not only does this often cause ill will with people around you, it causes you to have a false perception of reality resulting in you thinking you’re the center of everything. This blinds you to the reality that things do not revolve around you, the world is not perfect, and never will be. For example, people seem to think everything should be their way all the time, or they whine, fuss and complain. They want to be first in line, before everyone else and often will do anything to get there. This causes ill will, problems with orderliness, and a myriad of other things. Why? Because people through ego manipulation feel there self centered needs take precedence over those of everyone else. Is it any wonder our world is in such a state!
Manipulation of actions is when they manipulate the things we do to commit acts they want us to commit to either subvert our own minds or those around us.. For example any action that causes someone to question his or her morals, perceptions, or otherwise cause the persons behavior to shift towards that behavior favored by the demon manipulating the victim. This results in clouded judgement. Your clouded judgment causes someone else’s judgment to be clouded, which makes them able to be manipulated, and a chain reaction is started. The damage that is doable is nearly endless. Simply take a look at the world around us for evidence.
Manipulation of emotions is the manipulation of your emotional state, to bring about a state of mind where you can be manipulated to their ends. What this means is that they use either situations around you in life that you do (fate), or situations that develop from the things you do and set you on a current path (destiny) to become their slave for their purpose. For example someone who becomes depressed (not clinical depression where they cant help it) over something foolish that isn’t worth being depressed over, like not getting something they wanted etc. This leaves you open to be manipulated by demons. Even those in clinical depression can sink to a point where they can easily be manipulated by demons. The whole idea of feeling helpless, worthless, etc. is the perfect setup for a demon to come in and manipulate someone. We must be wary my friends.
So how can we prevent this from happening? Vigilance can prevent this. Meditate daily. Study words of wisdom, meditate on the words of wisdom and discernment, and pray, these all help prevent manipulation attempts. The main key is awareness. Become aware of yourself inside and out, and at all times. This brings about a mindset that make manipulation that much more difficult for a demon to succeed at. Think of how much better the world would be if we all did this!
2. Possession
What is demon possession? Demon possession is when a demon takes over someone's mind and body to use it for their own ends. This differs from manipulation where the demon controls forces in and around the body from the outside to coerce someone into doing their bidding by using them like a puppet. Possession can come about by various means. Weakness of the mind, weakness of the body, weakness of action, and weakness of the spirit are those means. Yes they sound similar to the means of manipulation because they all can interact and one can lead to the other.
Weakness of the mind is when we are weak in our thoughts, and emotions. This leads to weak actions, which leads to manipulation, which can lead to possession.
Weakness of action is just as it sounds, when we perform actions that weaken others and ourselves through any form: of delusion, misperception, denial of reality, or heedless and mindless acts. For example someone who smokes a drug in front of children. They are giving off the idea that drugs are acceptable to society and drugs are cool etc. They are also giving off the idea that being rebellious is cool, breaking laws and rules are cool etc. If done enough in front of a child, is there not a possibility that the child will start that very same action? By doing that heedless, and mindless act, you have now brought another person into a state that could start a downward spiral. Do you see a pattern? One person doing something can cause a chain reaction of people doing something that is foolish. Look at our society around us!
Weakness of the body is when we are sick. If our body is sick it eventually leads to the weakness of the mind, the weakening of the mind can then lead to the weakening of our spirit, which leaves us in a state for attempts at manipulation and/or possession.
Weakness of the spirit is when we are troubled, depressed; feel down and out, worthless etc. This is the perfect time for a demon to come along and attempt to manipulate someone into doing their bidding. They give that person the illusion of worth and power, and the demon gets what he seeks. In the end however, who is left hurt? The person. Demons care only for what they want. They don’t care about you or your problems. They simply use you and throw you away by any available means.
3. Conclusion
I sincerely hope that everyone considers my words carefully, whether you may agree with them or not. I don’t claim to be an expert on any of the above, these are simply my theories based on things I have observed. I hope that anyone having problems is helped by this, and anyone looking for ideas/information is helped by this. Be careful my friends. We only get to enjoy life once. Please be aware, and live a happy and meaningful life. Namaste.

Actually, theories or not, I agree. Everyone seems to think the acts of demons are all hellfire and brimstone, or signing a pact with blood. Feh.
A wise friend (;)) once explained to me something similar. The negative influences over man's thoughts and acts are subtle--to illustrate, let us have a man walking down the street. He comes upon an elderly, homeless fellow seated against a building. Looking up at the man, the bum begs for some spare change--the man certainly has a few dollars to spare, yet his first thought is "Oh, he'll just buy booze with it" and he refuses.
Granted, that was a bit roundabout. My point being, the demons which afflict us are not necessarily the horned-hooved-winged images depicted in stories, but go by new names and forms--Hate, Lethargy, Arrogance, etc.
Just my two cents. Interesting post, glad to see someone took a shot at it.

your wise friend sounds like he has been reading the bible.
the devil appears as an angel of light seeking whom he may devour. Good article as well.
Vinncent:
Eh, I stray from the topic, but what exactly do you mean by the devil 'seeking whom he may devour' Thadius? I can't recall a time that I've heard a cause of death, 'Digested by Satan'.
