In one of the news papers today...The Daily Mail..i think? There is an article and it says that schools want to finger print kids so that they can to do away with school dinner vouchers (conditoning them for a cashless society) it is also being done so that kids can use thier finger prints to loan books from the school library... and it will be fun for the kids (bollocks!). So thats why they want to finger print our children... so that they can loan books. D'oh and there was me thinking Big Brother was behind it. (you see how the Govermant take us for complete fucking mugs!):mad:

No matter what the press report...At our particular school many people *had* already refused...
But...NOW with more parents both becoming involved and "informed" about the truth behind biometrics...
Guess what?

Many are now *demanding* that the information is professionally cleared from the system:o

my daughter (aged 8 then), was fingerprinted last year for 'school library'. However, the reading never worked and i have refused permission for her to have it taken again. so far so good, but i expect it will be compulsary shortly.

BTW about 10 miles from Todmorden :cool:

If enough of us do it then the system will break down. We just have to say no. Then get as much publicity as you can: tell your friends, tell the other parents, call the newspapers.

Well done for refusing. It's a shame that the majority of Halifax parents support the scheme, but at least it's a very small majority.
