View Full Version : Scary television logos?

A youtube user cited these television logos that appear before or after programs as being unsettling to them as a kid. I think children are more perceptive to the energy behind colors, musical tones and symbols than adults, as they've not been brainwashed by society yet, therefore their perceptions are more truthful.

I remember some of these logos and do recall that some of them bothered me as well.

Another strange one was

"Its 10pm. Do you know where your children are?"

It's 10PM - Do you know where your children are? - YouTube

"IT'S 10PM, DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILDREN ARE? - YouTube

The problem with this was the grave tone used. This was played a lot around the time when missing kids were on milk cartons . :(

Another reason I didn't like this one was because I had to go to bed when it came on :D Looking back, I wonder if this could have been used as a trigger for programmed or cult people.

Looking back, I wonder if this could have been used as a trigger for programmed or cult people.

That's what I thought about some of these!

I made a post about these in the Paramount Pyramids thread (probably wrong place to post..)

Anyways, I think you are right about children being more sensitive to energies and tones. When I look at these now, I think there is something "triggery" about them.

Then, sometime in 80's or 90's alot of these logos softened up and became more "cute". As the shows themselves became more hardcore.

Or some of them got more serene or artsy. But there was a time when it seemed that alot of the logos shouted "Dun Dun Dun DUNNN!!!"

Here are some more. Apparently the Paramount logo earned the name closet killer:

In this one the 2nd or 3rd logo shown is Disney's. One of the viewer's comments was that "Mickey looks like a demonic dictator"

Apparently this one from Russia was banned after too many complaints:

I like looking at these - they are a study in themselves of those times and the mindset of television and film production.

That's a good point. I think its because the audience has evolved in accordance with their goals. We're less shocked and frightened than we would have been 10 o 20 years ago. When you put someone in a mild state of fear, you can drive things directly into their subconcious. Those logos were probably used in this way, but now people need something more shocking, hence the graphic violent shows.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

This one's a bit weird. A kid in bed, a shining star (Luciferian?) and a baby's voice saying DIC? Why would a baby even be saying that word? I even remember giggling as a kid with this one because of the word. Totally deliberate.

I think the music is the most menacing in most of these.

I think so too. Imagine being relaxed and "in the zone" watching your favorite TV show... to me, the music stirs up unconscious dread.

And strange. And spooky.
