Hey, don't have a clue at all about this, but my mate said he went to blackpool a few years ago and a conspiracy researcher there told him that there had been a nuclear war thousands of years ago, which is the reason we have sand etc.
I made a thread the other day about 666 (relating it to carbon) where somebody told me carbon (the most important element for life on this planet) is radioactive decay. Thats what just reminded me of this.
As I said, I haven't got the darndest clue about this, can anyone shed some light?

People have postulated theories of ancient atomic warfare based on ancient texts, specifically the Indian Vedas and Bhargavita (not sure of the spelling on that one) as well as others. do a search for more info. large areas of sand turned to glass usually cited as an example of ancient nukes. I seem to think it happened either from the advanced ancient civs. or non-human beings.

Well, the ancient nuke wars arnt the reason why we have sand per se, but certainly explain a few things about some areas of desertification
There's loads of evidence for it, both scientific and scriptural:
Go google and link back what you find!
