If there is even the slightest sense of insecurity in your voice, people will pick up on it. If you are talking to 'normal' people about something which might seem 'outlandish' to them then the confidence in which you say it with is even more important.
I believe that confidence is the key. If you can speak confidently about something. Act confidently too, then it shows that you believe in what you are saying / doing. This is something of self-evidence and I believe that this confidence is growing now to a point now where we can feel like we have a certain amount of global support even on just the basic levels of the Orwellian state.

So yeah, don't get beaten down by those who seek to suppress you. Their God is fear. No match against the collective desire for true freedom!

I also think that the way you hear yourself talk when discussing particular matters is a good way of gauging their strength and validity.
If you find yourself talking with incredible strength and conviction driven by true passion, then that is I believe a good way of focusing on what really matters and what really resonates with people.

Isn't it true that real confidence comes with knowing? When I know something, then there is automatically confidence. When I am not sure, no way can I by acting or trying to be confident really be confident.

You could always try repetition, that's what they do on TV. Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth anyway, so it should work with the truth too, to get it into their thick heads :)
