Can being on the computer drain your energy?

If you spend hours on the computer can it actually drain your energy?

Wanted to see if anyone had any information ont this.:confused:

Good question. I find it does in the day but at night I can stay up all night at it. I am going to try to exercise regularly and eat better starting monday. I am wasting my life sleeping and being tired all the time.

I think it can. I also think it can drain your energy while making you anxious at the same time. Not a good combo!

I have read that even standing in front of a photocopy machine can do something to one's energy. And, in fact, that pregnant woman are advised not to stand in front of a photocopier for prolonged periods of time.

Probably anything that radiates electricity is not good to be constantly around.

Computers are a complicated subject. Know this: EMFs radiate from all sides of the computer. Thus, you must not only be concerned with sitting in front of the monitor but also if you are sitting near a computer or if a computer is operating in a nearby room.

The Swedish safety standard, effective 711/90, specifies a maximum of 0.25 mG at 50 cm from the display. Many US manufactured computers have EMFs of 5 - 100 mG at this distance. And know this too: the screens placed over monitors do NOT block EMFs. Not even a lead screen will block ELF and VLF magnetic fields.

I know that a laptop has an electrical field much more powerful than a simple house hold main "ring curcuit" 240V .

I was sitting here with a friend the other night and told him .
He laughed .
So I proved it .

I have 14 different electrical energy field detectors .
The most sensitive is a dual field detector .

When finding an electrical magnetic field ( electricity ) the field finder illuminator turns blue when "NEAR" and electrical field .
When "dangerously near" electrical field energy source ( IE 100 volts and over mains power ) the field finding locator turns RED .

Near a normal socket mains voltage the indicator turns blue half a meter from mains .
when I put it 30cm fro mains power it turns red .

With a laptop connected to the Internet is approached .
the indicator turns blue 1.5 meters away
and turns red 1 meter away .

this indicates that when I am sitting on the table at my lap top , I am sitting in an electrical magnetic field 3 times stronger than a 240V house hold mains socket curcuit .

Now that can not be good for you in any way .

I agree with the your info tracker, so why do we do it? Is it addiction or is our brain waves tuning to to this electrical magnetic field from the computer. I find I'm drawn to the computer in the early hours of the morning when maybe my energies levels are high, after a while I feel my energy levels dropping and I get this buzzing sensation in my head, dont know if anyone else has sensed this? I used to be a lot more active before I had a computer. I keep saying that I'm going dump my laptop and switch off for good and do something more constructive, but I never do.

Maybe I'll do it starting next Monday, so just in case I'll say my goodbyes know :D

Also Since having an LCD TV, I've found that I cannot listen to it without getting this strange annoying tone in my ears, so it's never on for long.

I'm not into all this high tech stuff but I was reading about this new technology they have whereby the brain interacts with the computer giving it instruction from just brain waves, makes me think that shortly we and the computer may become one and maybe computer's will control us.

I feel that We are definitely switching off from earth's natural magnetic field.

I am skeptical about these pendants and such, esp. when they refuse to tell you how they work. Most likely it's a scam and who has that much money to spend on something like that anyway.

I also feel that time on a computer is different .... somehow 'disappears'. You feel you've only been online a short time but hours have gone by .....
