now is it just me or does anyone else despise birthday's?

Its my birthday tommorrow, and for about 3 years now i have dispised them! :(
i hate getting presents aswell... why?? I HAVE NO IDEA!


anyone share this feeling, or am i just a grumpy bastard? :D

I acknowledge loved ones birthdays but I've always hated my own. I feel embarassed by them. Maybe it's because you're expected to be in the limelight, which is horrifying.

I think it could be something down to not feeling i've done anything to merit such a fuss from people, know what i mean? Its really just another day! :)

Ive just got to the point where im starting to feel deflated on my birthda- its not like when you are a kid.....the excitement has gone and im starting to feel as though its just another day, well it is, but you know what i mean, i think birthdays xmas and the like are for kids, they are a commercial thing etc etc, i feel embarrassed recieving gifts on my birthday, i was just born on that day however many years ago- why is that significant? why do you have to congratulate me? maybe its anoher way to ground us into the the 'life is important' conditioning- congratulate yourself every year you 'survive'!! survival is positive, death and getting closer to it is negative??:confused: ......just a thought! :)

Its my birthday on saturday, i was born on friday the thirteenth , its also the day my dad died , 3 years ago on saturday.

so yeah i hate em, everyone expects you to be happy about it , but inside i feel really down about it and hate celebrating it, before i used to love em. but that day has a different meaning for me know and always will have.

Birthdays never meant much to me. Almost every birthday of mine was doomed so to say. Family conflicts, no money and anything that can come from here. I was some bit xcited in the past about it but since a while everything of the kind is gone. Lets face it with sincerity, any reason to be happy one gets older? Any reason to be happy one gets older in a life he/she doesnt have much in common with? No. Of course Im glad if Im given a gift or smb remembers and wishes me from the heart, but its not the case. It wasnt often anyway.
