Hi guys

Wonder if you can help me out. My mum is 58 and has arthritis quite bad at the moment. She said she was going to the doctor but I dissuaded her from it and told her that herbal/homeopathic medicine will work much better. She even admits to throwing away the last tablets she got from the docs as they gave her a headache.

So what works best. I know a few things but am no guru yet.

Try www.curezone.com for cures.

Here's one thread I just quickly found within 10 seconds.

It depends what type of arthritis you are referring to as well.

Quote from my favorite doctor David Brownstein "Iodine deficiency may be a major contributor to the widespread arthritis problems in the US. A home remedy for arthritis is consumption of two drops of Lugol's solution each day. Two drops of Lugol's solution contain the same amount of iodine as one Iodoral tablet. Lugol's solution is a water solution of 10 per cent potassium iodide and 5 per cent iodine."

There are a couple of Iodine threads on forum but check out "Lugol's" on google for yourself.
If you are in the UK then you can get it here: BOBBY'S HEALTH SHOP (http://www.bobbys-healthy-shop.co.uk/show-product-details.php?ID=51) Go for the 7% one if you decide to buy it for your mum.

There are so many alternative and herbal remedies out there to pick and choose from. What works for one does not necessary work for others.

I have found the simple 'honey and cinnamon' works the best for me.

1 part cinnamon + 2 parts honey mixed together. Store in a jar next to the kettle. Add a spoonful to warm water (not boiling) to make a tea. Or smear on toast for a sweet snack.

You could also check out about iodine deficiency. Thank you guys (Dalem & 21 12 2012)it was very informative.

Also, she should avoid all bleached white flour products and carbonated beverages.

(just something I remember from reading many natural health remedy books)
