Shocking new statistics show Blackpool and Fylde has a worse death rate than any other health authority area.

earlier on this year, I drove passed a really weird piece of art which was situated on the middle of a roundabout ... somewhere near Fylde
I believe they call this art "Helter Skelter" - however it looks more like the fall of man to me, but hey...just my opinion
sorry its not the best of pictures and yes the windscreen needs a wash hahahahahahah!!!!

This mobile tower is in the center of blackpool, and seems to have a lot of antennas and other stuff on it,think theres more to this tower.Its not near anything, The police,fire,ambulance stations are not far away but they have there own masts

Wouldn't put it past them if they are beaming out suicidal thoughts. It's bad enough as it is, wages that don't cover the basic cost of living, few jobs.
Blackpool was, don't know if it still is a place for hen nights and stag nights, but for people who travel their not the locals.

I was cycling home from work a few months ago, and got stopped by the police,there was a bike reported stolen, The police woman that stopped me was ok, got the impressions she was new to the force.I mentioned that the tetra radios they used were bad and that she should check them out on the net.
she replied by saying that they were rubbish and had blackspot`s and she had to have a monthly medical check because of them!!!

I was there on a Hen Night 3 weeks ago and yes it is very popular for weekend visitors etc. I felt quite merry though, not suicidal! Mind you, who knows what long term effects it may have on the locals, especially the local drug users. In fact I was quite shocked to see this thread, I have never really seen that side of Blackpool, but I suppose it is the same in all major Cities really.

If you had a good time that's what counts. The Scotts and the Welsh seem to do the Blackpool weekends a fair bit. I'm not so far from there, but it was as a kid last time I wen't on the fair. The younger ones here do the rounds of Clubs... Liverpool, Manchester, Wigan and Blackpool always the most popular places.

Some weird deaths around here too, as always. And yes there are stories on the net about how the Police don't like using tetra, it's inifficient and bad for their health.

drugs are all over but really what else is expected from a town that is only operational to ppl who move to live there for "seasonal" work? i mean the season now lasts4 months at a push and unless you are born and bred there with a good security level going on in your life you are heading for 8 months of hardship n not much money

where abouts do you go strolling from the prom to find that then? i can only assume shaw rd area or back of the village, but still then it is good with some bad but no different to most the main town area. But now if u were talking strange park or mereside i could agree with you to a point
