What date is the book in shops? I need to order for overseas delivery but my local bookstore only orders from certain suppliers.

As Im ordering this and Jesse ventura'a book I need to make sure both are in shops.

I'm picking up my copy in the morning, Liverpool Waterstones.

I rang through and was told they had initial deliveries coming in from the 30th.

Waterstones seem pretty dismssive online; no release date attached, no genre classification, sleeve image, pre-release review, ratings or promotion.

You may still be waiting.

I spoke to a very helpful lady at David Icke Books today and she said they have been in the country for about a week, but they haven't cleared customs yet. :(

Called in this morning to pick it up; this morning's delivery had arrived without their allocations; at both Bold St, Liverpool and Grange Rd, Birkenhead sites.

They all said the same, due for arrival, copies confirmed but not arrived; will be within 2-5 days.

Will ring through daily and keep you informed here as and when it lands.

Disappointing, especially after they told me copies were due in this am.

I had a look on their website. All the other Icke books say despatched within 24 hours and show stock levels under the book. The new one says 3-5 days and has no stock levels. Hmph. I think they're being sneaky by re-naming 'pre-order' to sneak sales from amazon.

Yeah, looks like.

Poor Customer Services to still tell walk-in punters it'll go to the shelves on release day and then to "keep trying over the next couple of days".

I just went to go and buy it, and the lady at Waterstone's told me they aren't due to have it in and have no future plans to. But they had three of his books. I bought The Biggest Secret and Infinite Love, so those will keep me busy until I can get the new one.

 You have the "before and after" the reptilians!! Awesome. Read them in chronological order for full effect.

Aren't due in and no future plans to do so?

Are they her personal views and preferences?!

I've been into Waterstones all over the UK and found thriving Spirituality and related sections, full of Icke, secret society, Paranormal and UFO-related books; I've bought the 7 Icke books I have across Liverpool, Chester and randomly, Luton sites.

Take no notice, I'd suggest and in the meantime enjoy TBS - fabulous summer evenings reading.

In my opinion, TBS was a very hard read if one is not able to stomach the weird shit about the reppies:

- Queen of England turning reppie, competing with Prince Charles over who gets the biggest bite and blood of the sacrificial victim. Sounds rather "funny", in a morbid way, but it's one of the more odd statements made.

- The murder of Princess Diana, which in itself wouldn't be such a hard read if it weren't for all the alleged details about it. Like I don't know, having some weird instrument shoved into her privates for malevolent purposes. Can't recall why they (allegedly) did it, but it had something to do with torture and ritual obsession if we assume that the royals are reppies in disguise.

- Alleged underground bases where reptilians and humans actually fought each other - the "Dulce Wars". Reads like something out of a sci-fi movie so it's a stretch of the imagination ;)

And so on. Reading Infinite Love is like pulling a nice comfy blanket over ya since Icke goes on about his body-computer/matrix/vibrations/illusions/we are all holograms-stuff to sound kooky. :o

Smiths are doing it online at under £15, free delivery..

http://www.whsmith.co.uk/CatalogAndSearch/SearchWithinCategory.aspx?gq=david+icke&cat=%5cBooks

May help to explain why Waterstones are keeping stock back to compete on pre-order; why shelve it at £20 when competitors do free delivery at over a fiver cheaper?

I went into a waterstones store in london/surrey today (even though i have already pre-ordered one from David Ickes website), and was told that the book was released today and that i could pre-order it from them and have it within about 5 days.

£14.80!! That's the cheapest I've seen it. I think Amazon snuck their price up a bit. Play.com is still £18.49 with free delivery.

I'm pretty sure it's the store, not her views. Like I said they had 3 of Icke's books in there and she personally showed me where they were..

I normally buy more than one copy- one for me and a couple for family members- so I usually order some of them direct from Icke's site so that the money goes straight to him but I'll order the others from Waterstones or such. I do that so that it will appear on their shelves and possibly reach a wider audience: I've found with Waterstones that often they won't get the more esoteric or "odder' titles in automatically but they will if you ask them to order it in and then, because you've established demand, they tend to re-order the book themselves after that and keep at least one or two copies on their shelves.

That's an excellent idea, I'd never thought of doing that.

I saw an idea on another forum. They were building up a fund to buy as many copies as possible (along with AJ dvds etc) and then using guerilla warfare tactics to 'wake people up'.
They throw the books/dvds at unsuspecting strangers from hidden locations, giving them a jolt out of their auto-pilot reality, then hopefully they take the book/dvd home to see wtf it was and then share it with their family and friends.

rather expensive i'd have thought.

There's thousands of people on this forum. If 1,000 donated £1 that's 50 books at DIF prices or 67 at the lowest webprice. I'm sure The Icke Man would cut us a special deal.

I like the idea of building a life sized seige engine and shooting hundreds of copies at Buckingham Palace and Parliament. Everyone who turns up in a V for Vendetta costume gets to light their book on fire.

By the way I got my copy today from Waterstones in Worthing. It will gradually appear in many other bookshops as well. I read a few pages today and I'm quite pleased with with I've seen so far.

I've just received it from amazon - although I would have paid full price if it had been in any of the ten or so bookshops I've been in to look for it!

Right, 700 pages to go, good to see a bit of Gurdjieff in the intro pages
