Louvre Pyramid/Inverted Pyramid

Everyone knows the ridiculous glass pyramid in the middle of the Louvre in Paris but did you know the Carrousel du Louvre, an underground shopping mall just west of the Louvre that connects with the museum features an even more ridiculous INVERTED glass pyramid:

actually, that inverted pyramid sits atop the Louvre pyramid, which would suggest the designer didn't have pyramid in his mind when he began to sketch out his final design at all, but rather diamond or other rhombus'.
