Freedom & the truth ??

Hello ladies & (gentle)men.

newbie here and thought I'd share some of my ideas about freedom & truth.

Do these things actually exist in yesterday's, today's & tomorrows society??

I personally think not.

Freedom
We are slaves to the economy, no matter which country we live in. We are continually being pressured financially in our day to day lives. We see price rises above the rate of inflation for essential goods whilst our salaries are increased at a percentage below the the rate of inflation !!!

How some families cope with this is beyond me. Its no suprise that in the UK that a vast amount of t.v. adverts are for LOANS LOANS LOANS, thereby trapping people in an ever decreasing circle of debt and that coupled with the media's encouragement of material wealth is a very, very unhealthy situation to fall into.

The Truth
What is the truth??

Its a load of bollocks is what it is. There is no such thing in life as THE TRUTH. The reality is that there is no definative answer to all of lifes questions, just different peoples opinions of an event or series of events. We continually hear about the 'search for the truth' or that 'the truth is out there'. Again what a load of crap!!!! Again we all know David's point about repeating a lie so often that it becomes accepted as the truth.

So to some up, the 2 virtues (freedom & truth) that we apparently build and mould out society upon are in fact a lie. With that understanding its no suprise that the world is in the state it is in.

Hi Basil and welcome

To me:

Freedom comes when you disassociate yourself from the money/debt/materialistic/ spiral. I personally don't give a shit about inflation. Its all a game anyway. We live in a manufactured economy designed to keep people in fear whilst continually pushing us to get into more and more debt. They give you nothing, just transfer figures around on a computer screen, and you pay for it with your soul. Don't play their game! If you can afford the payments on a home without sacrificing the ability to live, do it. If you can pay cash, do it but I shake my head in amazement when people lose 'their' home when there is a .25% interest rate increase. Is it worth it? Not to this little black duck.

As for truth, you are never going to get truth from mainstream media for starters and it is hard to know, even with alternative sources, what is the truth. It may be THEIR truth but is it yours? I do believe that you need to listen to that place within that 'knows.' As David says, he gives information, do with it what you will. There are some things he says that don't resonate with me but most are conclusions I have come to myself, independently, after many years of researching and discarding much of what I have read or heard.

Aye there is no freedom on this planet, only degrees of allowance to foster the illusion of choice.

As for truth, Fact is official Fiction.

Plain and simple.

I wish to see a world where honesty and integrity is the rule. Where there is freedom innate.

TRUTH is what is. The words we use to describe what is are merely a description of TRUTH and not TRUTH itself. What is, is always what is and is independant from the description. For example, if both you and I describe a tree, we will, more than likely, use different words in our description, but this does not change the tree. The tree is what it is independantly of either of our descriptions. The description is merely our way of communicating what is, from our individual perspective, to each other. I once asked myself what is truth? and I came up with this answer...
What is truth ? THAT THE ONENESS IS ALL.
I came up with four more answers to four other questions that follow...
What is joy ? ALL THAT THE ONENESS IS.
What is love ? THE ONENESS THAT IS ALL.
What is life ? ALL THAT IS THE ONENESS.
Who am I ? THE ONENESS THAT ALL IS.
This is not TRUTH, merely my description of it.
