'A Course in Miracles' & David Icke

Do any of you know anything about a book called "A Course in Miracles"? If you have, I would love to know your opinions about it.
Although I felt resistant to it initially because of its use of Christian jargon, I was quickly drawn to it because of its similarity to the spiritual view David has shared with us.
It too says our world is an illusion made by a mind that has forgotten who it is: a son of God. We exist within God, timeless and perfect whilst dreaming of separation.
I recommend anyone who shares David's spiritual view to take a look at it.:)

I've also heard that the CIA had something to do with making it??? :confused:

Interestingly, it has a year long workbook designed to alter your perceptions and set you on the path to awakening from illusion. Wonder if anybody out there has completed the workbook? What difference did it make to their life?

That in itself sounds a bit dodgy to me. Along with the fact that Neale Donald Walsh promotes it, along with the new world order..

I've read snippets and it does seem a little dogmatic..

I personally prefer the bible, especially the bit where jesus dies :rolleyes:

He wrote the conversations with god series.. I really liked them at the time, about 7 or 8 years ago, but I've kind of moved on..

Would still recommend them though.. They are nice books..

Thanks. I find myself attracted to it's idea of this world being an illusion etc. I have to admit though that I found the fact that the authors were both psychology professors uncomfortable. As well as the price tag!

ACIM grew out of the Christian Science movement, there's a lot of good stuff in it, but as always, take what one feels right about and leave the rest. It is especially good for understanding ego and getting beyond that: however it is quite "intellectual". Generally people form study groups to discuss the books and do the exercises

It's a good point. As you can see from my comment above, after reading the article I instantly distrusted the book.

Wikipedia is an important "message" site.
If you want to "decode" the news or movies, whatever, Wiki
always gives you the clues.

And in general, I think it's quite handy.
you can quickly learn the basic facts.
Agreed, probably not always completely accurate,
but still easy to work with....
Use it quite a lot.

But for important things I will get a "second opinion".

First of all WIKIPEDIA is part of the Illuminati 96% contol media ,so not much
to get real information.

Freud was Jewish, jews have nothing to do with Christianity, Freud wanted to travel to the library of the Vatican, the most complete one, in real books, and forbidden books ,but for some reason having the tickets in his hands to travel, fainted everytime, maybe because
he might have thought his theories were wrong, or had loops somewhere.

CG.Jung had at the beginning similarities with Freud, but later parted with him, because

Talking about CIA books, there are two that I
know.

later URANTIA, an update of the bible, the life of christ at different ages, it was
written by the CIA. Both books are excellently well written . The CIA no matter what, is Christian, and it uses its power to promote that faith.

I read it. It did help me more then the bible ever did. It's basic message is that what you do to your brother, you do to yourself. I got no sinister message from it. It helped me reach beyond my baptist/christian upbringing. I enjoyed it.

Yes Joejam, i read both books and liked them also,
they have been translated worldwide. One must remember that the CIA, lives not of the truth, but a conquest for mantaining power.
And the NWO will have only ONE organized Religion. The catholic church has spoken well of the NEW WORLD ORDER, we will see if they are the chosen partners.
