He's the BBC's News 24 Chief political correspondent, apparently.

JAMES LANDALE is an experienced journalist who is currently the Chief Political Correspondent for BBC News 24. Before joining the BBC in January 2003, he spent ten years working at The Times, most recently as Assistant Foreign Editor.
I've had the misfortune to catch him on news 24 a couple of times, and if you watch, half the time he can barely conceal his smugness, and quite often is trying not to laugh. I seen him dish out disgracefully biased put downs - He's definitely COMMON PURPOSE material.
