View Full Version : Sci-Fi novels describing the moon as a spaceship

Has anyone read science fiction novels with this theme ?

A french author with pen name Pierre Suragne wrote a novel back in 1973 called "La Nef Des Dieux" (The Spaceship of Gods). In this novel, the moon is a spaceship of hibernating giant extraterrestrials that got off course, and ended up being captured by Earth.

You think Icke's books are science-fiction?

yes, novellas.

if you make stuff up and put it in books, or if you redefine previous novels, then, by definition , you wrote a novella.

its not as "novella" as stephen kings books(hes clear in his motives atleast), but, by definition, im not wrong.

a well researched book will list every single source and not have phrases like "i believe" etc.

and twisting old storys to fit ones own agenda isnt a cool thing either.

however, ill laugh my ass through the moon matrix.

its starwars meets neo&morpheus&trinity , it surely has entertainment value.
despite dismissing his own previous work altogether.

Well seeing as Stephen King's not got a book coming out any time soon, I hope that means you've placed your order for Human Race Get Off Your knees.

I Cant speak on hadabusas' behalf obviously, but I am assuming he approaches this information rather sceptically.

Personally I can say that from the moment I first picked up THE BIGGEST SECRET, way back in 1999, my opinion and indeed my entire way on looking at the world has changed somewhat.

I'm probably with Icke to 80% of what he says.

I'm a bit sceptical about the moon matrix theory at this stage but still look forward to reading the book.

Infinite Love...will still be a hard act to follow imo.:D

You can stop side stepping an easy question. If you don't want to answer, then tell me you don't want to answer, like an adult (are you?). I don't think it's a retarded question at all, it's a fairly reasonable and harmless one...and I don't think anyone who believes what Icke says is an "apostle", as you call them, which makes no sense by the way (you're thinking of the word "disciple").

You think what Icke talks about is science fiction, meaning you don't believe it. So I'm curious as to why you hang out here. It would be akin to me hanging out in the Miley Cyrus forums when I think her music is crap. Most of your posts seem to be antagonistic and snide, so I'm trying to figure out whether you're just a troll or have an agenda that would be an intelligent and interesting alternative...but so far there's nothing interesting or intelligent about you...but you're free to prove me wrong. Or not, and I've got my answer to the troll question.

as stated before(you missed it??), i agree with what icke says mostly, just not everything.

and this forum is one of the freest forum with a "cultleader".

example, jref, the sceptics forum, gets you banned quite fast for bs.

ajones gulagplanet forum gets you banned if you arent a jones worshipper.
oxley forum bans everything that moves, i think itsa1man blog by now.

theres forums like pravda where nothing gets banned, but its just a political forum, not much traffic(but great posters)

atleast,i found out about SDR's(in sig), that beats most contributions here itself.

You've got a martyr complex going on.

And you still haven't explained why you come here. You said this is the freest forum with a "cult leader"(?) That's not a reason, that's an excuse, because you only come because you get banned from other similar websites.

You feel David Icke has a cult, and is the leader of this so called cult. Where is it stated anywhere in his books or website that he has started a cult? A cult is a religion or religious sect generally considered to have negative connotations. I don't see how Icke or anything he does, or this website has anything to do with this definition. He has not started a religion. No one follows him anymore than they follow a comedian who's shows they buy tickets to and books they buy.

You can keep putting ridiculous pictures of a headphone wearing Hitler in a desperate attempt to distract from the real issue, and dodging my simple, direct and reasonable question. But you're just digging yourself a deeper hole and outing yourself as a troll in the process, who hasn't been banned from another website...yet.

If Icke's books were pure research and factual then Hadabusa is right. You NEVER get subjective and put "I believe" or "I think". It's factual, you show the facts and draw any conclusions and leave the reader to decide for themselves.

I class Icke's books as Faction. There's a lot of fact in them, undeniable facts. However, a lot of the source books and channelled information are simply not credible. Hence, Faction. Nothing wrong with it and this isn't a put down. Just my opinion having read most of them and a lot of the referenced works. Not channelled any of the spirits though.

I think Godwin's Law should be updated and Hitler should be replaced with Wiki.

You guys do realise that anyone can put information on there and it's never checked? Nothing on Wiki is reliable. It has the illusion of fact but none if it is verified and can be changed at any time by any person with an account.

Using wiki is like going out into the street and asking the first person to walk past what they think on any given subject. It is the sum of 'common knowledge'.

The thing I find ironic, is that on this forum and others like it, the MSM is decried as bullshit spreaders. Where do you think common knowledge comes from? MSM > Public > Wiki > Here.

It makes me ride the roflcopter.

Anyway, I vote we update Godwin.

They changed the rules. You only get a flat for 1-2 crib lizards (unless they're of different fathers of different "racial backgrounds" part of the 'melting pot bonus system'). You need 3+ to get a house these days. Usually a small crappy one.

Realistically you're looking at 5+ kids before you get a nice house. Couple of dogs, 6 cats and at least 2 asbos would help. Many opt for the 'gay kid' or 'disabled kid' option but it risks lots of involvement with "the social".

The life of a modern day peasant is a suprisingly complicated one.

While not wholly on the exact path as david ,two books i have read seem to back up davids theory ,one book is philip k dicks VALIS and another was the graphic novel THE INVISIBLES by Grant Morrison.

,strangly enough while writing these books both writers felt they had been contacted from space by intelligent entities ,which was the intent that made them write both of these books which deal with similar ideas to davids current theory.

HERE ARE THE LINKS ON WIKI PEDIA THIS ONE FOR VALIS VALIS - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia AND THIS ONE FOR THE INVISIBLES Barbelith - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

While not wholly on the exact path as david ,two books i have read seem to back up davids theory ,one book is philip k dicks VALIS and another was the graphic novel THE INVISIBLES by Grant Morrison.

The Invisibles is an interesting one.

Grant Morrison: It's really simple. The truth of that one is that design staff on The Matrix were given Invisibles collections and told to make the movie look like my books. This is a reported fact. The Wachowskis are comic book creators and fans and were fans of my work, so it's hardly surprising.
My translation being: They ripped me off, loads of people complained, they owned up and credited me and I didn't sue them because now I can sell more copies of the Invisibles innit. Either way, the two are linked and The Matrix is probably the most referenced film in Icke's work after They Live.

Philip K Dick definitely knew something, too. Like J K Rowling, it's more about the worlds they create than the stories that happen within them. Rowling only managed it with one story but Dick wrote nya'lots. I don't believe you can create a world that detailed and consistent unless you're getting great information from somewhere.

Here's some VALIS

It's from an aria by Handel. Fat and I used to listen to my Seraphim LP of Richard Lewis singing it. Deeper, and deeper still.
Once I told Fat that another aria on the record described his mind perfectly.
"Which aria?" Fat said guardedly.
"Total eclipse," I answered.

"Total eclipse! no sun, no moon,
All dark amidst the blaze of noon!
Oh, glorious light! no cheering ray
To glad my eyes with welcome day!
Why thus deprived Thy prime decree?
Sun, moon and stars are dark to me!"

To which Fat said, "The opposite is true in my case. I am illuminated by holy light fired at me from another world. I see what no other man sees."
He had a point there.

Not strictly a book, but there was the tv show Space 1999, in which there is a moonbase on Luna, which is used as a storehouse for volatile nuclear waste, a massive accidental detonation blasts the entire moon into interstellar orbit, the moon then goes on an involuntary 'star trek' and encounters alien civilizations in other solar systems each week.

the show lasted for two seasons, it was created by Gerry Anderson (thunderbirds).

Thus the moon in this was a kind of a 'spaceship'.

Lets see. Space 1999, a tv show about the moon being blasted out of the Earth's orbit, and discovering alien civilizations as it enters other solar systems, thus the moon is a spaceship.

oh yeah, and a novel based on the tv show Space 1999.http://i836.photobucket.com/albums/zz283/guuna/n14196space1999.jpg
