anyone like this stuff...I kept reading how it was the best supplement to take for this and that and how everyone should be taking it...I took it for over a month didn't notice anything from it...like most supplements on the market (and I have tried tonnes) I think it is a complete waste of money...you are better off spending the money on quality organic food...

It's an antioxidant produced by the body - if you take a statin the statin suppresses it's production so supposedly increases your risk of cancer if you don't take the supplement.

That's not what he's saying. Statin drugs have some severe side effects, such as systemic muscle damage (the heart is also a muscle), that CoQ10 seems to counteract. If you're not on a statin drug you should not need it, and I would take a Resveratrol product and fish oil instead.

Take iodine - it's better than statins (for reducing cholesterol - 100% correlation between high cholesterol and low thyroid), reserveratol and all the other junk.

ok, thanks I understand what you are saying now. I take hemp seed oil and coconut oil but what angered me about all the hype around Q10 was it was supposed to increase energy etc. it did nothing....I am pretty upset with the whole supplement market pretty much...apart from a few decent products out there the industry is awash with lots of useless garbage.

I take it and I can tell you have never been sick since I started taking it. Never. I get sick at least 10 times a year, not once have I been sick.

CQ10 is the "heart vitamin". There are many forms of it out there and unless you get the quality stuff, it will do jack shit.
A guy called John O'Neil wrote a book about it years ago. Cant recall the title but it was somit about "breaking the ...barrier.."
Anyway, he was a guy with a heart problem. Doc told him he is in deep shit. So he goes out and gets the high quality CQ10 from Japan....they make the best. He used an exercise bike to monitor his progress. (BTW it doesnt seem to have any effect on body building but does on aerobic sports). He got his heart rate during vigorous peddeling from about 90 odd beats per minute down to 30 beats per minute just by using CQ10.
If you have a heart problem, this is the miracle supplement. Statins are fucked and they diminish the bodies CQ10 and can cause heart atacks. Got agirl frind up north who had a heart attack at age 44, and she isnt even overweight or unfit!!...so I emailed her about CQ10 and told her to see her doc and tell him what I had told her.
Thats all I can say..........do your own research. O'Neil sells his own brand in Oz called "John ONeills CQ10". He ended up doing this due to the poor quality out there, so teamed up with japs and the rest is history, so to speak.
Expensive, very, but apparently very good.
I get mine from the US but cant use it as I ripped my calf muscle badly in December 2009 and am on warfarin due to a clot.........and while on warfarin you CANT take ANYTHING that is good for the heart ie anything with vit. K.
especially CQ10.

nuts contain coq10 and melons contain large amounts of SOD (super oxide dimutase) and some of the other most potent anti oxidants there is. bit cheaper aswell :). i agree about the iodine, lugol's solution is good, and/or eat seaweed!
