Im undecided on this Freeman lark, still to be convinced fully its viable and can be a life choice as opposed to the "system". So im neither a believer, or a non-believer.
However the new BT advert on telly, which is meant to be slightly humorous has a line that says: "in London its legal for a Freeman to herd a flock of sheep through". or words similar.
Anyone seen it?
Thought it was interesting to use a "Freeman" as an example?

I saw the ad yes i thought it was a T mobile advert and yes it is lawful for freemen to herd anything through the city of London.
Different Freeman altogether than the freeman refered to on this forum.

Involved in the ad campaign were you?
My ears perked up when I herd (!) that too.
FMOTL, FREEMAN, free man = are all people who are living their live FREE in my book - same thing.
The FMOTL thing is a mindset, bassically it's a way of explaining why you should be free.
If you have not hurt anyone or stolen anything or been fraudulent... what right does anyone have to tell you what you can or cannot do? If they have that right, then you are the slave and they are the master.
the FREE MAN thing (to me) is realising this inherant flaw in the current legal system imposed upon us and waking up from it.

I think he was right actually, the advert was likely (IMO) referring to the notion of becoming a Freeman Of The City Of London - something anyone can apply for, from anywhere in the world :)
Have a look, maybe we should all apply en masse? :D

Thanks krackhead
Thats exactly what I meant.
Freeman OF the city is a recognised title
Freeman ON the land is a figment of imagination.
