So, I wanted to share something with you all...

I studied a lot of mythology and noticed how the most recent stories of mythical creatures, comes from the Irish/Celtic/Welsch mythology. So, I had a theory that with the takeover of Christianity, prehaps the mythical creatures had migrated there.

Ireland was the last place to get converted, with all the druids murdered at the orders of St. Patrick.

Anyways, what do you all think?

Sorry if this has been talked about. Still new :P

I;ve seen the fae with my own eyes and i work with them. Some such as the iele are not to be trifled with and are quite quite vicious. But a lot of them are michievious not evil they like to play tricks and have fun.

Also the fae are everywhere, some live in specific places or your more likely to find them there, they choose not to be seen. Take for example slyphs, undines, gnomes and salamanders all elemental creatures and always around us. If you are wanting to talk to them or attract them there are ways of doing so.

sure thing one of the simplist ways is to leave offerings for them fairy sugar. A mix of fine sugar, rd food colouring and vanilla, also planting certain flowers such as bluebells, fox gloves attract them. When i was a wee one used to leave porrigde out for the fae around harvest time(i lived on a farm), also its a case of trust, you've got to be patient with them and respectful towards them. I'll add a link on, you'll have to excuse the glizy website but its a good starting point. Also music and singing. I tend to leave offerings in my garden now(as live in the city) and when its a windy day i sit out and meditate and listen to the slyphs! As most of them have very intriging voices though as i;ve said some use that as a lure. Also research into where you live and see if there are any specifc fae which reside there.

nice one lady O :D

some time back, around 8 or 9 years i think, i was out with some friends in derbyshire, near to where i live, at a stone circle site, chilling out, relaxing amongst the stones, it was a gorgeous summer day, and i was lying against the circles bank with my eyes closed, when i opened my eyes, there were pinpoints of light dancing in the air above me and the rest of the guys, and above the circle, like 50 or 60 firefly's, cartwheeling in the air, i watched them for ages (about ten minutes, that seemed like ages in that space) and they didn't seem to mind us being there - my friends saw them too, so i know it was real :D

i have absolutely no idea what these beings were (logic kicks in and says that it was blood flow through the eyes - but we all wouldn't have the same vissionary experience of ligh-beings if that were the case :D) and the only name that comes to mind is sylphs, though i have no idea if that would be correct :D

i find such energies are naturally attracted to stone circle sites, and have met a few 'keepers' while visiting circle sites, usually while meditating there, or in the above case, having a quick nap

:D

hehehe thats amazing merlin. The first time i actually saw them was when i was ten, i had heard there songs and seen there shadows for quite some time. We had gone up for a family trip to dartmoore one sunday. I got out the car and went for an explore, my mother told me not to go very far but i didnt listen to her. All of a sudden i hear laughing and can see flashes from the corner of my eye so in short i play a game of hide and seek. As i'm foillwing the laughter it comes to a set opf rocks so up i climb as i got to the mid point i peered around the rock and there was this wee person looking at me having a right old laugh(twas a pixie!), i looked at it and it looked at me and with a smile flashed out of view. Then my mother grabs me and i was like mum i saw a pixie it was just here. Her face went white as snow and she carried me back to the car and insisted we went elsewhere to my dad. She's not really into the same things as i but she knows there is more to this world then what most realise.

sounds awesome :D

have always been attracted to dartmoor, and want to go visit the circles there some day, and love Devon and Cornwall, the energies there are just kinda right, almost like being in another country :D

As i was reading your story, i wonder if your mother would se the spirits when she was younger, and it feared her somewhat, and that was the cause of her reaction to your seeing your wee man there?

would love to be able to interact more with nature Earth spirits. i don't have much of a problem interacting with dolphins and mermaids (i can call dolphins when i'm at the sea, and if they are near they will always show up - though i've never been close enough to one to actually touch them. Same with eagles and buzzards, when i am out in the countryside / mountains if i call to them in my mind they almost always arrive, walking in Snowdon and hearing the cry of an eagle as it swooped and then circled, overhead was an amazing experience). I am also quite aligned with air spirits - am an Aries, so have a strong affinity with fire spirits, particularly dragons, so while fire, air and water marry well with fire sign, i'm not sure on the earth spirit aspects.

is somethingn i'd like to explore, for sure :D

My mum just knows the stories really as everyone does and the fae do have a bit of a slightly unfair reputation. I have always gotten on with them.
