View Full Version : I Keep Having Dinosaur Related Dreams WTF?!

This sounds so weird but 3 nights this week I have dreamt about dinosaurs. The first time it was a metaphorical dream where I rescued a dinosaur from a sanctuary. I was really proud of it and would walk it down the street to show it off to people. It eventually had to be returned to the sanctuary because it was destructive and making a mess of my house. It turned into my dog Tallulah at the end and she was being just as destructive as the dinosaur was so I assumed that the dinosaur was playing the role of my dog which means that it was my dog all along and not a dinosaur!

Last night I had two seperate dreams about dinosaurs. Unfortunately I can't remember the first one but I can remember the second one. I dreamt that I had a huge deep puddle in the back garden and when I looked into it I noticed that it was deeper than it looks and I thought I saw one of my cats drowning in it. I stepped into it and noticed that it was an odd shaped rock and I suddenly got the feeling that there was something deeply wrong and that I should get back in the house. I watched from my window and I saw a dinosaur rise out of it and then I woke up.

I have had dreams in the past about dinosaurs trying to attack me in my garden but I don't understand why. I never realised I had a theme until today. Does anybody know why I am dreaming of dinosaurs? I'm not obsessed with them or anything and I haven't watched anything dinosaur related recently. It's just so random that I feel silly talking about it. lol

That's pretty odd!! I have dreams like that sometimes of things I'm not really that interested in, which makes it even more intriguing. I think there's a Jurrasic park 4 coming out soon, maybe Steven Spielberg is dream spamming ;):p

Also on the subject of Dinosaurs, you might want to listen to Stewart Swerdlow on that subject as he reckons there are places where they still exist! Not sure how much truth there is to that but I'm sure Jordan Maxwell has mentioned something like that too.

cool i was obsessed with dinos as a kid. its always struck me as odd that ive never come across one in a dream though. or perhaps i just forget. are they good dreams lauren or a bit threatening? probably all the reptile talk around here

id like to think seeing a dinosaur in a dream would be a good way of realising oh shit im asleep and get lucid, or are these fairly lucid dreams anyway just featuring dinos?

These aren't lucid dreams and the dinosaurs are quite threatening because I always run to hide. I wouldn't call them a nightmare though because I'm never terrified. The pet dinosaur was fun though. I didn't mind that dream. I assumed that I was probably having dreams like these because of the reptilian theme and I am always on this website. But that just seems a little bit too obvious.

i guess if it ever bothers you, just concentrate on telling yourself that when you next see any dino references do some reality checks and hopefully the next times you dream about them you can see them for what they really are. massive horses

That's interesting lauren... :)

My understanding is when you see a dino in your dream it symbolizes an outdated attitude.
Meaning, you may need to discard your old ways of thinking and habits.

As for the chasing part - 2 things:
1. It may reflect your old issues that are still coming back to haunt you.
2. Your fears of no longer being needed or useful.

Next time don't run, instead ask him what he wants. :D

I'm not a dream analysis expert by any means. It is very interesting you are having a dinosaur theme. I keep having dreams with the same theme, and I wonder if my bed time, eating late snacks, and Internet content are creating them?

the reptile theme is interesting, but IMO the reptile themes here are usually 100% shapeshifting evil, not enjoy my new pet reptile. the subconscious is so amazing. Dreams are way cool. thank you so much for sharing Lauren

WTF ?

me too !

I did at one time believe it was the reptilians trying to frighten me back in to a state of fear .
then I thought "maybe its a former part of my instinctive self trying tobring me back to the ways I am so hard trying to drop" .

Something tells me Lauren almighty that you might be ( although dont quote me on it ) that you are right now , on a the crusp of changing your oulook once again on life .
Even though you have come to David Ickes forum because you have woke up to many things in life and wish to converse with others similar to your self , maybe , just maybe , you are indeed now crossing over to a new level of sorts .
an even more awake you .

the dinosaur could be a representation of the pure , intaimed instinctive self , the reason why it is chasing you or after you , is because your consciousness has seen that it is not satisfied with its instinctive self behind the so called mind mirror
thus
the instictive ( dinosaur animal instinct so to speak ) is making you fear it , making you run away , making you feel unsafe ,

like you I have no idea why I keep dreaming of a T Rex chacing me ( coz thats my dreams ) and or dinos chacing you , what I do know is what the picture represents .

if we pick a good interperetation for our visions and dreams , then only good can come from them ,

is my two pence worth .

It's funny you should mention Dinosaurs in dreams because I got talking to two other people at work the other day and one of them mentioned they had a dream about Dinosaurs chasing her.

And .................................................. .................that there may have been something buried, forgotten, which you may believe was dead/ gone away....

perhaps it's resurfacing now, perhaps something - an issue - has/ had been left unfinished and is now coming to the fore front in your life, kind of a skeleton/ closet thrown into knowledge kind of thing???

Sorry, have been having a few weird days lately..... please let me know if any of this rings remotely true with you Lauren!!?

I'm struggling to think of what it could mean. I have been suffering from stress and anxiety lately so maybe it's connected to that. I don't really have any other ideas as to why I'm dreaming about them. It's such a random topic lol, why dinosaurs?!

Apart from the dream where I had a pet dinosaur, the dinosaur usually rises up from a puddle in the patio next to the back door which turns into a big pond. It's like a big velociraptor but less evil looking. It's still scary though because it is trying to get to me but it doesn't look mean and nasty, it actually looks friendly. The more I think about it, I think it might be connected to my dog Tallulah. I mentioned in my first post that I had a metaphorical dream about her as my pet dinosaur. She literally is a monster lol and a nightmare to control.

I am usually able to decipher my dreams because they usually have a simple meaning to do with every day life but I've never had a theme before until now. I have dinosaur dreams about 3 times a week.

He's calling you to join his cult! :p

But seriously now, I agree with the idea that maybe it's trying to tell you about "outdated" stuff in your subconcious?

Or maybe you could ask the Universe about it, and to give you the answer in your dreams. :)

Dinosaurs are always fascinating, sometimes lovable, mostly dangerous, and they are alive only in our imaginations. Consider all of the details of the dream and try to tie these ideas to some aspect of your life. The dinosaur, whether you have given it a positive or negative connotation, represents something from your past or an aspect of your personality that you have altered over time. Dinosaurs may represent old issues that have not been properly addressed and that continue to have the power to effect your life in the present.

wow, this thread is like a year old, strange to bump a year old thread for the sake of a lady gaga image.
I started reading the thread and couldn't work out why the date was the 30th of march and then I finally realised it said 2010!

That particular forum member is following me around the forum posting in my threads, Gaga related threads and my visitor page to deliberately wind me up by saying things like Gaga is satanic and an alien but I'm not rising to it because it has no effect on me.

Sometimes obstickles are put for you to overcome them and to learn..
for example when i had a bad dream and i was running from Arnold The governator.. i got tired, i turned around and attacked him.. and int he moment of me touching him.. he turned into a cake -) and i bit the cake.. i guess that was my reward.. and if i didnt decided to stand up i would probably go deeper into fear im sure..

That could be anything! and only you can make the right interpretation.. because it happened to you.. yes sometimes people can interpret it right for you.. but maybe you wont be able to accept or to recognize it as truth :P

another thing.. if they dream was not comfortable.. that is probably manipulation in the wrong direction.. probable but not a fact..
if a dream is positive and something is shown to you.. i consider that as a message from friends/soulmates etc..

whats up with you dog? is it possible that you love your dog very much.. and that you have fun with it all the time.. and someone something wants to mess that up for you.. because they loving energy you are creating while being with the dog is too much for those negative beings?

what is the truth?
