Good morning to everyone.

Hope we all slept well. I thought I'd like to speak about everybodys views from "within the prison". Not to say within your body, but the views of people living within "modern soceity", aka: the city.

Now, I've lived in a city for about 4 years now. Rotterdam, the New York of Europe. Architecture that stands out, filled with people with the oddest sense of humor.

The Erasmus Bridge leading towards the south side.

And a picture of the city center.

Now, one may think that I'm showing this off in order to talk about how nice a city can be. That's only half true. You see, a city can be nice, but it's not.
Walk along the streets, and it's the same everywhere. People have this look of sadness on their faces, and the only ones with a smile are the ones with 20 pounds of shopping bags hanging from them. Only consuming seems to make people in the city happy. Notice I underlined consuming seems.
This is because consuming is not the only thing that makes people happy.

One thing that I love about this city, is it's graffti artists. Now, I'm not talking about the guys who just sign their name somewhere or put it up so people can know where to buy drugs. There are some very nice pieces of art out here on the walls of buildings.
Later on, I have some pictures of the sides of a building being torn down soon called "Pauluskerk". This was a homeless shelter taht is being torn down. This was the cheapest place, taht served half decent food. And the only place where these poor addicts could be to feed their addictions in a safe enviorment. But it's being torn down now for the sake of a new aparment building.

There are sooo many faces in the city. Some many. And it's sad, because when you compair the number of smart and caring individuals, to the number of criminally minded individuals, you'll find that the prior out number the latter.
But this is never what the media like to look at. Only when the caring individuals have set up a an organisation that is sponsered by a company, and has corporate funding, do the media ever pay attention.

There was ONCE, the media showed a group that did have any of these things.
Twice a month, in the Museum Park, a group of (as the paper quote)"Anarchists" have a large picknick for the homeless. The food is not the best, the bread is stale, and they never have soda or such. But the homeless are greatful.

Speaking of homeless aswell; there are some very very VERY intelligent individuals who are, sadly enough, homeless. You have your ones that are only concentrading on getting their next piece of crack. And although most of the time, they are the ones you will only see. But the special ones, can always be found in the parks, or sleeping somewhere, or even just outside the city. Just wandering. I've spoken to some of them, and they are very bright and compassionate individuals. And yes, sometimes you do have the ones that have lost their minds. I just try to stay out of their way. I don't want to hurt them if they get too crazy. (When I say crazy, I don't mean the ones making noise, I mean the ones that smell quite bad hunched over holding half of a baby doll and his penis sticking out coming up to people asking them "WHY DID MY HUSBAND LEAVE ME?!")
I understand these poor individuals have had it rough.
And although, I see that the city i just a prison made and run by it's inmates, I can't help but still see abit of beauty in it.

Perhaps it is not my place to judge in such a manner. And I do have a feeling that someday, none of them, will have to be in this situation anymore.
But for now, make the best of it, and when you see a chance to escape, RUN!
