Congress is lurching toward legislation to renovate the financial-regulatory system to reduce the risk of another devastating crisis. Finally, the unveiling of a 1,336-page bill by Sen. Christopher Dodd, the Connecticut Democrat who chairs the Senate Banking Committee, was significant. The move showed he is determined to move a bill through the committee despite his inability to get even a few Republicans to sign on.

G S says it as it is, and has been in china for at least 10 years now, the average managerial job brings in $ 180 a month and and an immegrant worker only gets $ 90 a month, what he fails to say is how long will it take before the greedy national TT government will let that wage go up to 20 dollars a day,

Then you have an idea of how long this recession is going to last for, don't bank on anything getting better for at least another 3 years at least, lets have this convesation then and see what industry we have left and what the rest of us have left, the writing is on the wall, best try to learn something new while you have a chance that will help you get by until then, I think we are going to need it.

The guy is absolutely correct all the time. The most significant part of the interview was when he spoke about how the United States takes their manufacturing projects overseas, and pays "slave" wages to get them produced and then has them shipped back to the United States where they are sold at a high profit. The United States hardly has any significant internal manufacturing facilities left. How do you create jobs and create a robust economy conducting most business off shore??? The crash of 2010 will happen as Celente predicts. Stimulus my ass. Paper money. Soon gone. People who are not quite impacted yet will truly feel it when food, gas, etc. continue to rise and they still cannot find a job. The "health' bill will the death bill.

The Uk and others have also been doing this more so the UK for 20 plus years, a freind of mine used to work for our local shoe factory who actually made shoes for Next before China came on stream, then the directors sold out to a Portugese company and shipped out, my freind then went to work for Reebok UK, and after a few months was shipped out to Indonesia to set up a factory there, I saw him a few months later and asked him how he was getting on.

His words were the sheer poverty of the people working in the facory was appualing, they were surrounded by millions of pounds of top new machinery but were on the poverty production line.

The company he was working for was at the time paying 0.58 pence per pair of trainers which retailed here in the Uk for about 100 quid, the top pump models, that is what's happening to the world on an even bigger scale today, the people making them are having both their eyes pulled out and here in the Uk their sockets too, and what really get my goat when I hear some fuck whitt complaining about the prices yet pays them regardless for their vanity, boy are they the ones who are buying us all into an early grave.

Those who think they are getting a bargain, look no further than on the ends of your legs then think again, because no matter how cheap you think yours are, just think about the poor bastard that is near starvation making them, someone who has probably left his home in the country and cut his own throat because he cannot got back again because someone else has taken that land and has to beg for his keep on our behalf.

One day the world is going to wake up in earnest, until then slave away for the man while he gets his money for free and the rest have nothing, fury moment No 22 but Celente type true. :D

That bill being put out by Dodd is nothing but window dressing. It's a compete sham, and is designed to go after everyone except those that are already privileged, like Goldman Sachs, the biggest cheating perpetrator of them all. I am sure this bill will get passed because it is designed to appease the angry masses, but the actual contents of the bill will never be publicized in the media.

I can't say if or when this economy is truly going to collapse, but what I do know is that it is running on fumes and running out. The robber barons have sold us down the river and left us holding a big bag of shit. There simply is nothing left within our economy to create any growth, and the next several years will spent just trying to maintain and hang on. What happened is proof that capitalism does not work. It doesn't matter what kind of economic/financial system you put into place, the crook, the liars, and the cheaters will eventually take it over and run it into the sewer.

Tell me where the average citizen in the United States can work when they graduate from high school assuming they do not have the inclination to attend college? What "trade" jobs are left? Electricians are out of work. Automobile factory workers the same. Every blue collar industry is down. Now that we have our new health care bill they can just go get free anti-depressants or medical marijuana...:)

All the manufacturing jobs in the United States are being outsourced just like the apprentice pointed out happened in the UK two posts up from this one. We are fast becoming a two bit country. China owns us. We outsource everything to either them or India. It is digusting. Our politicans are completely to the core of their dirty souls brought out by special interest groups. It is not even subtle anymore. How do you expect narcissitic people ( politicians aka as movie stars) who thrive off attention to think of their constituents over those desires??? Well the won't. They owe their seats to the special interest groups that have them by the short hairs.

You think these pieces of shit we call politicians will give up their little goodies? Hell no. People are just all confused and under the spell of the left-right paradigm. They are one party, and they are out for themselves. This health bill is the biggest FACIST nail in the coffin yet to the united states. It was NOT the will of the people.

I already see rising food prices, utility prices etc. Inflation is inevitable as the paper stimulus money dries up.

I think those who can forsee how the recession is going to pan out are the ones keeping shtum, are you ready folks or getting ready ?

If it all blows over ,well we will have a little bit put by to trade with until the price of food comes down again and its all good.

On a brighter note, two more shops went down in our town center last week, a mobile phone shop and a sweetie shop, and two more just hanging on by the short and curlies, I know one of them personally, that will make it 15 in total.

What of your area folks ?

the local pub closed down 5 weeks ago and still is shut now.. to me its a good thing.. my local shop keeper says he might not last until the end of the year, its a shame because hes a moms and pops store.. and if you go into town, theres shops on every street thats shut down.. the crime rates hitting the roof, the police helicopters are out above my house 2-3 times aday.. a year ago you'd only see them once a week or so... its like we've gone back 20 years around here.. in the last week ive seen a caravan on fire on the pub car park, bus stop shelters smashed up, motorbikes crashed and burnt, all in a week.. the longer this goes on the worse its gonna get!
