Are there any natural remedies/cures to beat osteoporosis?

Any idea?

I have a serious hip problem diagnosed by bone density x-rays. I don't want to have to deal with bigPharma and chemicals/HRT and I am looking for an efficient natural cure.

I hear that some people have beaten osteoporosis by treating it with natural remedies.

Thank you very much in advance for your answers/advice.

Vit D3 + Calcium. A good product is Caltrate or Citrical.

Amazon.com: Citracal Plus Bone Density Builder Calcium and Vitamin D Coated Tablets, 120-Count Bottle: Health & Personal Care@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51B0vGvHUFL.@@AMEPARAM@@51B0vGvHUFL

Also a good idea to check out the doctor yourself website:

http://www.doctoryourself.com/osteoporosis.html

Ontop of that information I would add a quality Fish Oil supplement.

Replace "table" salt with Himalayan Crystal Salt.....
http://himalayansalt.com.au/health.htm

More good info here.....
http://www.xtend-life.com/healthconditions/Arthritis.aspx

Celery is also very good to strengthen bones.

Avoid fluoride!!........only drink water that does not contain fluoride.

I gave this info to my mother who suffers from osteoporosis and she has improved over the last 5 months

celery, broccoli, kale, radishes, hemp seeds, almonds. magnesim, boron, silicon are all as if not more important than calcium. raw cod liver oil from red23 dot co dot uk is good for vit D, home made kefir can also aid the absorbtion of magnesium & calcium, as casn apple cider vinegar.weight bearing exercise and minimal coffee, as this leaches magnesium from the body. on an emotional/mental level, try to cultivate feelings of strength, not that you can 'crumble' under pressure, that you have a solid foundation. hope this helps.

Himalayan salt is not considered safe for consumption because of fluoride in it.

Himalayan salt is not considered safe for consumption because of fluoride in it.

There is a difference between naturally occuring Calcium Fluoride and TOXIC Sodium Fluoride, a byproduct from aluminum and fertilizer industries. The two are NOT the same.

Yep, but it MUST be organic celery. Celery is the #1 vegetable when it comes to pesticide contamination, because the pesticide, and a lot of it, gets into the veins of the stalks and there's no way to wash it out.

Osteoporosis is caused by long term salt defficiency(salt is what gives bones their hardness)it can take a long time to reverse.

Bingo!.....and doctors tell people to cut their salt intake, when if they were actually educated about NUTRITION they would know that "table salt" is toxic but a salt such as Celtic Salt or Himalayan Salt is actually essential to the human body.....and then they prescribe useless drugs to their patients so they receive "incentives" from the BigPharma companies.

The things that my mother's doctor prescribed to her were INSANE and she no longer goes to that doctor. It is amazing how crucial salt is to the human body and hardly anyone knows this.

Along with Himalayan sea salt, I would add Kelp.

Kelp can help remove strontium-90, a radiactive element that accumulates into your bones if you don't have enough calcium. So kelp will draw out radiactive elements and heavy metals, and provide a good source of calcium and vast array of other minerals. :)

taking supplements like calcium complex can help strengthen the bones. my mom is taking calcium complex from maxalife to strengthen her knee bones. she's having a hard time working around at home because her knees hurt after a couple of chores. she's only able to finish her chores with the help of the calcium complex.

RAW Dairy, more raw dairy, and then some more raw dairy.

http://www.realmilk.com/where.html

PASTEURIZED milk can actually cause osteoporosis. Raw dairy will clear that shit out of there and remineralize your bones and teeth. Give it some time, it will work I guaranfuckingtee it!

This is of interest to me as I have osteoporosis in my hips and spine. I used to be prescribed chewable calcium tablets on the NHS but they're awful - they contain 3 different types of artificial sweetener which upsets my IBS (why, oh why?!), so I just take a mutimineral tablet now. I have also been prescribed Fosamax (alendronic acid), but I've not been very good about taking it lately. I do take HRT (been on it for years thanks to an extraordinarily early menopause).

I agree that pasteurizing milk destroys much of its goodness. Raw milk is very difficult to get here in the UK, I think. I also (as I mentioned on another thread) caught listeria from untreated milk, so you have to be a bit careful.

I also agree that salt is crucial to the body - I have no need to cut down as I have low blood pressure and don't eat loads of added salt anyway.

Tahini paste is a good source of calcium, thanks to the sesame seeds in it.

It's not the germ, it's the terrain. (In regards to Listeria)

I haven't had salt in 2 years. I'm on the Primal diet by Aajonus Vonderplanitz.

Salt is not good for you taken straight. Get it form raw foods. (animals included)

You need the proper ratio of magnesium along with calcium.
Important, read this whole page:
http://magnesiumforlife.com/medical-application/magnesium-and-calcification

Calcium works synergistically with other nutrients magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin D, boron, silicon, vitamin K and vitamin C.

Too much calcium can interfere with Vit. D.
Best advice is to take high doses of Vit. D 5,000+/day. If your body does not have enough calcium, it can use silicon. Silicon is needed for proper utilization of calcium (cucumbers, strawberries, lemon grass, horsetail tea).

Chia seeds have 5x the calcium of milk, and unlike milk, a proper ratio of calcium to phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, copper, niacin, zinc and boron, a catalyst for the absorption of calcium.

If you want milk, best to go with organic, raw and take Vit. D and eat something high in silicon, magnesium, phosphorous along with it.

Raw milk has all the calcium you need and what your body can absorb at one time.

You can trust industrial processed supplements, or you can trust something from nature that has helped many cultures for ages.

Nuts and seeds have phytic acids that prevent proper protein absorption. We are not seed eaters.

Vitamin D is important. Try to get sun exposure every day.

Salmon is a good source of Vitamin D. Always get ocean caught wild. (Other oily fish do too) Instead of cooking the salmon, make it ceviche style. Marinating it in lemon juice will give it a cooked-like texture. Free range eggs from chickens that have not been fed soy have vit D.

Vitamin K2 is important to counter-balance the vitamin D. Guess what has Vitamin K2. Fermented Raw milk! You can turn it into kefir by leaving the raw milk in a dark cupboard loosely covered for at least a day. It's drinkable yogurt.
