sound technology that bounces sounds like light off objects , many uses but also dodgey interest from the military as usual like in this link

if this is what they are showing us what have they already got going on .The tech can be used in lots of dodgey ways as in targeting individuals to hear voices ! but as speaker technology you can listen to without disturbing people even in the same room or sat next to you then it beats headphones , wich i rarely use to inhibiting i like to hear what goes on in my enviroment .Still looks lots of fun wonder when they will be comercially available ? :D can u imagine them built into clothing pointing upwards for your own personal stereo show , awesome .
