Do you ever get a filling that something is coming that is going to change our lives substantially and the world we live in?
I'm talking about the feeling of anticipating a great change. I've been feeling it for all my life (as far back as I can remember). And also I know that when it is going to happen, there will be no school, no injustice, no suffering, no wars in the world.
I remember clearly the day after when our country (Slovenia) declared independence from Yugoslavia. That day in 1991 bombers attacked our country, everyone was scared except me. I was actually excited and I said to my mom that I probably won't have to go to school anymore, that the world would change. As the 10 day war ended I already knew that the world will not change. Not because of the 'shortness of war' (a second of war is too long) but because there should be a substantial change. And every time that something major is happening in the world or at home, that feeling gets stronger (you can feel the tension growing) until I realize; 'that's not it'. And so years passed the feeling was the same and the knowing too, but in my mind I kinda knew that it is not going to happen. And that knowing 'it's not gonna happen' grew and slowly shading the 'feeling of anticipation' and with shading I very slowly started to accept the world as it is (but not totally). And some more years went by. Than my world shattered completely (traumatic experience). I felt three years old again. The funny thing is I didn't except the world no more (I rebelled). Then things got better and I started to gradually except the world and again the shading started (thinking that my rebellion was a direct consequence of the traumatic experience). About two years went by and guess what; several minor traumas. I was back and this time instead of excepting the world as it is once more, I further deepened the wish for a major change and the feeling got deeper to. That road led me eventually to David's work. And now as I go deeper and deeper into the realization of what I am, the anticipation is getting unbearable. But I'm still waiting, because I feel I have to wait, that the time is not yet right. Don't know why.
The similar thing we see in our religions that foretold the coming of god/prophet, end of the world. I don't think that this feeling is all just religious crap (like the above). I believe that religion wanted to manipulate people that what they anticipate is the coming of the end of the world. Naturally noone wanted that and everyone was scared of it. They didn't want to feel this way anymore. So, I see the manipulation as a tool to fool us and to scare us away from wishing and anticipating the change. And one more thing; have you noticed how fellings in general are pushed away and are labeled as only the manifestation of our brain and as being wrong most of the time. Except fear. I believe that feelings are our true thoughts, manifestation of our true self (about 90% of us trapped in subconsciousness).
So to wrap it up; WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

if you want to know who you are, i recommend you read the book "the diamond in your pocket" by gangaji (previewable and orderable on Amazon.com) and try meditating
(you can use this as a guide for a couple of times if you've never done it http://users.telenet.be/psy/muziek/learnmeditation :) )
So to wrap it up; WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?
i'm waiting for nothing.
no ascension,
no 2012,
no apocalypse.
my body was born 20 years ago soon it will die.
quickly come - quickly go.
maybe there will be a mass awakening in 2012 or whatever,
i just am not convinced. i'll believe it when i see it.
what will happen will happen,
what will not happen will not happen.
in the meantime, i live now.

Dear Stargazer!
I have had that same feeling ever since I had my first encounter with an being "deity" as a child. All my life i keep having the same dreams and the same fortelling visions that a certain someone or something is going to come and make a drastic change of history .I keep seeing these big red planets and space ships made out if crystal ,,when i was a child i thought they were made of glass...In my dream i am sitting in that space ship and i am seeing these planets close and I get scared.
Now when I am older I am not scared or anything.i am only aware that we are facing a change in a near time and that we might have to be prepared ...
But what it might be I am not sure

Which is the problem? You'll have a new body. You are already living with your new body. This life is only a quick passage, only a place where to learn the good and the evil. You'll resurrect soon in a new life (I hope you are not buddhist, in this case you'll vanish :D).

Hi. This got me thinking. Could it be that I am as well waiting for death but do not realize it? Could be death the thing that we wait for?
When I think of that possibility it scares me a little. Could this fear of death (manipulated) be connected to the anticipation of something great or death in this case?

You are simply waiting your enlightenment. The death is only the moment you'll see this world in its real aspect: a prison. If you'll be enlightened in God you'll leave from this prison. Nothing more nothing less. (and buddhists???)

Indeed I've felt this feeling since childhood and it has increased each moment of my life.

i wrote a reply to this one, but i have deleted it cause the bollox factor was too high.
i'm going to try to reply less bollox now (i will mostlikely fail :))
i don't know what you are waiting for.
do you feel as if your life is lacking something...
perhaps happiness or love?
i don't think anything can make a human being happy.
- not a rescue mission from jesus to deliver us from evil.
- not UFO's to beam us up.
- not a beautiful wife and beautiful kids, a fun job and a secure life.
- not the magical disapearance of all earthly problems (NWO, disease, suffering)
look inside for the root of your unhappiness...
when you do that you will see that it is because that you want is not fullfilled.
(A) there's something inside a human being that always wants wants wants, and is never satisfied.
(B) there's something inside a human being that is love. it is free of want, forever happy, forever satisfied.
you are B.
but you always identify with that which wants (the body/ego), that you have become lost in it.
stop identification with false-self (A),
recognize yourself as that which identifies... true-self. (B)
how?
simply follow your sense-of-I back to it's origin.
step one: be aware of a feeling or thought
step two: be aware of that which is aware
step three: keep your eyes on that which is aware. that which is aware is you. (B)
maybe people that are waiting for ascension/2012/the return of jesus...
are simply waiting for something which is already here...

it's an interesting book, but (if you ask me) it is full of traps.

Thanks for the advices and your visions of things.:) You all really said it quite nice.:) Got me really thinking.:)
i don't know what you are waiting for.
do you feel as if your life is lacking something...

I think you've judged me too quickly. I'm happy and loved and I'm sure of it because I've scratched the bottom - I hated everyone, first of all myself.
maybe people that are waiting for ascension/2012/the return of jesus...
are simply waiting for something which is already here...
That would be a really great way to hide the secret of who we/I are/am - making us/me believe it's not there and sending us/me on a quest to find it without realizing it's there all along. But there is one thing; when are we manipulated into waiting if we are, when do they do it? As I said this feeling of anticipation started as I was a child (4-5 years - this far back I can remember).
Even though I was raised as a catholic, I never expected that Jesus would come back - it was explained to me as a metaphor of seeing Jesus after you die but no one denied that he might actually come back (explained by a priest). Religion is BS and a dangerous one. So why would they teach us both? Don't they know the truth? Is it another case of hiding the truth in a lie, to ease us - by that preventing us to wake up?
The traits of Jesus (the base of the character) are very similar to an awaken man (all loving). And seeing Jesus after death could be based on learning the truth after death and be sent back as a baby (Jesus rises from the grave). This could mean that we are falsely waiting to be awaken by death itself. Death than has a key role in the whole manipulation by reseting our physical self once in while, storing it in subconsciousness and we begin with a fresh (or preprogrammed) consciousness. By doing this, it is effectively keeping us from awakening because of the memory loss (really just splitting our consciousness). So, are we truly waiting to remember - to blend conscious and subconscious, therefore waking up?
I'm using catholic because I know it best, but I'm sure we can find similar half truths in every religion.
P.S.: I hope you understand what I'm saying because I'm having difficulty converting non-linear thoughts into linear text. Its getting worse as I think and realize more (about everything). I've spent more than 2 hours writing this reply :) and still haven't wrote and expressed it the way I see it.

Good post, and welcome to the forum :)
Yep, I'm waiting too, and not sure what it is I'm waiting for. Sometimes it feels like I'm just treading water. I have an idea of what it is, and it's out of my control right now, but there will be a time when I will kick into gear and move forward with what I'm here to do....what we're all here to do.
Just keep treading water, it's not long now. ;)

Why do you think I'm talking about what it is written in the bible?
I think like you that the bible and other holy books was rewrite following the will of the current political power. I'm talking only for direct experience. I assure that the soul exist, like exist chakras and kundalini energy. God, Lucifer, spirits, angel, demon, it is all true. I know. I believe.:o
