I listened to this interview with Ron Paul:

Ron Paul says that he is against abortion, but that he wouldn't like to have a federal 'abortion police' and that the individual states should decide for themselves about abortion.
I think that that's a good way of handling a tricky issue like abortion. He is against abortion but would still allow the states to decide for themselves about whether to allow abortion or not. But I could be wrong. I'm not very sure about the question of abortion.

Agreed... This is a personal, non governmental issue and Paul knows this

But I'm afraid that many voters who are pro-abortion will still see Ron Paul as an enemy. Hopefully he can handle the very tricky issue of abortion with great skill.

The wars that are fought against us are shaped by some sense of moral retribution. The media and government play the role of satan the tempter.
The only way to a new America is through a new Moral America.
Not just politics has to change but also people.
That's a tall order.
Lot of work for Paul.
Truth should be his watchword.

Truth should be his watchword.
It looks like Ron Paul has a solid foundation in truth. This means that his opponents will not easily be able to shake him. One seemingly possible drawback would be that Ron Paul by sticking to truth will not be able to use 'clever' tricks to the same degree as the other candidates. But I don't think he needs that. On the contrary, his clear positions work well in the viral arena of the Internet. Of course, he also most likely will need the support of mainstream media. Without that his chances are very slim I guess.

whether you are pro-choice or pro-life i don't care. i believe in the constitution (well, that america should be run on its principles) and i don't think that roe v. wade ever should have been a federal issue. i am opposed to federalism, states should decide. completely agree w ron paul on this one.
