02/13/07 "AP" -- -- JAKARTA, Indonesia — A top U.S. general said today there was no evidence the Iranian government was supplying Iraqi insurgents with highly lethal roadside bombs, apparently contradicting claims by other U.S. military and administration officials.

Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said U.S. forces hunting down militant networks that produced roadside bombs had arrested Iranians and that some of the material used in the devices were made in Iran.

They have job duties taken away, so they are marginalized in the office. They get stripped of their security clearances, so they can't work. They are blacklisted, so they can't find employment. They are reassigned to new locations, so they have to choose between moving or losing their jobs.

The federal "anti-hate" bill, HR 254, is stealth legislation at its
most devious. Its language deceives all but the most suspicious and
informed. Maybe this helps explain why evangelical watchdog
organizations do little or nothing to sound the alarm, even though the
hate bill has been in the House of Representatives for six weeks!

On ten top conservative websites, I found no mention of the David Ray
Hate Crimes Prevention Act (HR 254). I found just one alert on the
citizen link page of Dr. Dobson's Focus on the Family website. When
several friends and I called D. James Kennedy's Coral Ridge
Ministries, American Family Association, and Jerry Falwell Ministries,
they promised to research the hate bill immediately.

A powerful coalition of 100 scientists, lawyers, church leaders, actors,
writers and MPs is today demanding a halt to the rush by Tony Blair towards a
replacement for Britain's Trident nuclear weapon system.

Stephen Hawking, the astrophysicist, is among the prominent figures fronting
the campaign, which will strengthen growing demands in Parliament for the
vote on the replacement of the nuclear weapons system to be delayed until a full debate on the options has taken place.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Right Rev Rowan Williams, the author Zadie
Smith, the actress Emma Thompson, the fashion designer Vivienne Westwood and the architect Richard Rogers have also signed a statement objecting to a
hasty decision. They question the wisdom of rushing into the replacement of the Trident system with a Cold War-style generation of submarine-launched nuclear missiles at a cost of £65bn over its 30 years of service, while the most serious threat is now posed by terror groups that cannot be deterred by nuclear weapons.

The presence of Professor Hawking's name in the list will add weight to the
voices raised against the Government's drive for a replacement for Trident.

'Whisper of how I'm yearning", sang George M Cohan in one of the great American songs of nostalgia, "to mingle with the old time throng". Well, I'm yearning too, not for the gang at 42nd Street exactly, but for the America that Cohan was indirectly hymning - for the Idea of America, with a capital I, which once made the United States not just the most potent of all the nations but genuinely the most liked.

Perhaps, with a future new president already champing at the bit, we are about to witness its rebirth. As a foreigner I am immune to the rivalries or seductions of American party politics, but I have loved the old place for 60 years, and I simply pray for an American leader to give us back its baraka, as the Arabs say - nothing to do with religion or economics or power or even ideology, but the gift of being at once blessed and blessing.

Chemtrails are no longer just a 'conspiracy theory', they are a killer fact!
