...of money you don't have... and never had... buys you 32 trophies and makes officials fear to dismiss your players when the rules state that they should go.

Bitter?

Modern football is visible face of ugly capitalism.

Well done Man Utd on another bought trophy in a long line of bought trophies.

I hope your global fan base of glory hunters are happy tonight.

People are pissed off because it's not football anymore, just finance.

What's the point.

Yes, the Premier League of English soccer is a pathetic joke. The League Cup is a piece of tin, but United have won it 3 out of the last five years, and will continue to win trophies so long as the EPL's status quo persists.

Started a thread about this years ago - The Rotten Core of English Premier League football (http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53029&highlight=English+premier+league+football)

I wouldn't be surprised if it's all set up anyway, a bit like Wrestling.

Nothing beats a good game of footie with friends. The big game is bullshit.

The rot set in, 30 odd years ago..a better name for the premier league would be the 'rothschild finance & corruption league of satan'..

I stopped watching and following the game for about 24 years.

Trevor Francis a million pounds 1980's that was big news back then, but loled at now.

Past year or so I have begun to watch the odd game and noticed the insanity of the money now involved.

The fact is that Gabriel Agbonlahor was through on goal and denied a clear goal scoring opportunity and was brought down in the first 5 minutes.

THE RULES state that is a red card offence.

Phil Dowd didn't even book him.

Fuckwit Man Utd bender.

Phil Dowd let Man Utd off the hook.

And THEN... he booked two Villa players whilst only issuing verbal warnings to Man Utd players for exactly the same offence.

Phil Dowd is a cock and needs sacking.

Where's all the British & local talent, these 'city' clubs are supposed to represent...the club's misrepresent themselves while fleecing the locals..

My himself was watching that game this afternoon...sprawled out on the bed looking like a big mess and getting crumbs all over the place..anyway I digress, I don't like football anymore, ever since more foreign players were allowed to play for domestic clubs. The roots of the game seem to have been forgotten and it's all about money, business and assets now.

My himself said that Alan Sugar was quoted as saying that if the footballers of today weren't footballers, half of them would be in prison. He's not far wrong from what I can see. John Terry looks like any Dagenham wide boy and Rio Ferdinand looks like his got an IQ in single figures.

Every football player basically does his best to cheat, it's such a warped "sport" it saddens me that millions of children are exposed to it.

Cheats prosper.

And they don't come bigger than Man Utd.

Seriously... the referee today was shockingly biased.

I feel sick.

Every footballer tries to get free kicks or get the opposite player sent off, it's ingrained into the fabric of the sport. There is no honesty in that game any longer.

I was shocked Wigan where like never gonna be in the premier league ever, people would have been locked up for such predictions back in the 80's.

I decided too watch them onth telly to support the locals what a surprise LOL:D
