Jonathan Ross's wife Jane Goldman causes outrage with film featuring a foul-mouthed 11-year-old assassin

Jonathan Ross's wife has caused outrage with a film she has written featuring a foul-mouthed 11-year-old assassin.

Critics are concerned Jane Goldman's film Kick-Ass, which will carry a 15 certificate, blurs the lines between adult and child entertainment.

One of the characters in the film is an 11-year-old girl called Hit-Girl who slices people's legs off and shoots bullets through a man's cheek.

Jane Goldman has caused outrage with a film she has written featuring a foul-mouthed 11-year-old assassin called Hit-Girl

Chloe Moretz, the 13-year-old American actress who plays the role of the young serial killer screams at her victims: 'Okay, you c****, let's see what you can do now.'

In another scene the character tells her vigilante father that she wants a puppy for her birthday.

Jonathan Ross and Jane Goldman: One of the characters is an 11-year-old girl who slices people's legs off

When he looks surprised she says: 'I’m just f****** with you, Daddy,' and asks for a razor-sharp knife instead.

The film's extreme violence has earned it comparisons with the work of Quentin Tarrantino.

Frank Furedi, professor of sociology at Kent University, criticised the film industry for not distinguishing between what is suitable for children and adults.

'This promotes the idea that infantilising adulthood is okay and that we are no longer expected to draw lines between us and kids,' he told the Sunday Times.

Kick-Ass, which is out in April, has already sparked a number of complaints in the U.S. after children were allowed to access violent trailers of the film online.

'These particular trailers are even worse than normal because they depict a child and so are more interesting to a child,' Nell Minow, a lawyer and one of the complainants, told The New York Times last week.

'Isn’t there a limit to what we can ask children to do on screen?'

The film is based on a comic book series that is advertised with the slogan 'sickening violence: just the way you like it'.

Outrage over the film comes as a Government report last week highlighted the unsuitable images to which children are routinely exposed.

Aaron Johnson stars as Kick-Ass, an ordinary American teenage boy who decides to turn himself into a superhero

The report condemned the exposure of children to pornography and violence, and called for stricter controls on the increased use of 'sexualised imagery' in advertising.

Jonathan Ross was widely criticised in October 2008 after he and the comedian Russell Brand made obscene calls to Andrew Sachs, the former Fawlty Towers actor.

Goldman met Ross when she was a young newspaper columnist and married him when she was just 18 before going on to forge a successful career as a television presenter, author and screenwriter.

Jew twisted pro kid violence propaganda at its best.

jonathon ross is one of the prime gatekeepers, a powerful media force and film critic, loves the usual pro war, pro establisment films, buries the ones that might be dangerous to them

not in the least surprising that his wife is as much an operator as he is

Following his 12-week suspension from the BBC, Jonathan Ross is likely to be spending a lot more time with his Jewish wife, writer Jane Goldman,

Back in 1984, a film was released that was based on a Stephen King short story about children, a small town in Nebraska and, well, corn! Produced on a small budget for the time, Stephen King's Children of the Corn was released to moviegoers everywhere and the cornfield hasn't been the same since.

Wholesome family entertainment about children killing adults.

Body Count (possible spoilers)
Drunk man: Scythe in crotch, pitchfork on his wrist, machette in his arm, shovel in his stomach, and finally decapitated by a scythe.
Sandra: Hit over head, fingers chopped off with scythe, then slashed to death.
Sherrif Biggs: Impaled on scythe.
Doc Larson: Slashed in the forehead with sickle, cut in half by stretcher.
June Rhodes: Dragged by barbed wire into pitchfork.
Mary Anne: Stuck to door by needles in hands, then a sickle thrown into her head.
Josiah: Skin melted by quicksilver, then cut with scythe.

Or a glimpse of the future we're heading towards?

Not so long ago, an adult character wouldn't have been able to say that word in a film. Nor would all the violence and gore we see today have been acceptable. Neither would the sex, nudity, drug taking, explosions and all those other things that have to be in a 'movie' for it to be successful these days. Yet here we are.

Is this not the natural progression of things?

if the pic of the girl in school skirt with a gun is any indication of how the little girl will be portrayed is no comparison to anything that happened in Chilredn of the corn

(which I will admit comparibly can be said to have gone to far)

Imo, the difference being a specific paranormal motive for the kids behavior, as opposed to be simply being psychotic for the sake of being psychotic.

Even though I havent seen/read it , it aslo (unlike cotc) hints at being a movie where the psychotic aspect is glorifiied. The blurring of the line about the bad guy, which I find even more disturbing with the child aspect added.

I'd love to know if that is the case, without having to feed the vile beast within by watching it.

A good example of this disgusting category is 'Natural Born Killers'

It has nothing to do with nature whatsoever. This is a carefully guided agenda.

Most unfortunately yes. It all feels pretty overwhelming sometimes, how does one help to stop it - is it possible to?

I didn't take it as having anything to do with 'nature' per se; was it not just meant as the natural progression of the nwo and their pollution?

ah crap im confused now.
mental melt down:o

is it three movies ive got confused now,,,,,,,,,,,

so is this thread about the one with nicholas cage or some other movie about some crazy bloodthirsty 11 year old killer, or is someone blowing it into some subliminal fiasco again.

That one with cage in it remindedme of when i was growing up when that show the Greatest American Hero came out, or what about Columbo, or Monk, let us not forget Get Smart the old series and that stupid cartoon.

Uhoh then there is Jony Quest uho, and Speed racer.

Jungle book, that one almost screwed me up for life,,,,,,,man i remember as a boy i thought the animals realy could talk sometimes and some were good and some bad,,,,,,,,,,.

i gues what im saying is some kids dream of being spys, soldiers, assasins, nijas, etc, cowboys, yada yada yada,......

i think if a child is portrayed like chucky or natural born killers in a positive light then maybe its become a problem,,,,,,,,,,,,,,having said that the next thing from glamorizing a child aged serial killer would be glamorizing a kidie porn story(damit no smiley icon puking) when that happens then it has gone way to far.

so ya the cage movie is a bit outthere but its the same storys weve had of children going back to King David.
just thought id mention that
and what about the little rascals

no prob, dam i thought they were talking about a movie that sounded like chucky hooked up with laura ingles and corrupted her into becomeing a serial killer,,,,,,,,,,,,,basicly the oppisite of Leon.

Please don't sulk. You clearly have a fixed idea of what this is about. That's your opinion, not a fact. Did you think everyone would just agree with you without offering diferent opinions or perspectives? What a boring thread that would be.

Most unfortunately yes. It all feels pretty overwhelming sometimes, how does one help to stop it - is it possible to?

Make your own film giving a positive message? These days all you need is a camcorder and t'internet.

That's my favourite film and director right there. "This is from, ma-chill-da". Poor Gary Oldman. Long version btw, not the crappy edited one we got in the UK.

I think the movie looks great and I can't wait to see it - but I'm a comics fan and I know how to consume this stuff with my irony detector on, without being told how outraged I should be about it.

There's way worse stuff out there - mainly staring Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen etc etc
