While microchipping children is certainly a concern for me, I don't see how the story (in it's current form) links the McCanns killing their own child and microchipping.

This is where the contradiction starts for me. One hand people say that the media is controlled by the same forces that want to control our lives yet if the goal was to put that idea into the public consciousness then they wouldn't have allowed the same media to print stories about her being killed by her parents. And conversely, the police (which people say are controlled by the same force) wouldn't have been allowed to interferre by coming up with their own take on the case and accusing the McCanns.

I think there are aspects to all forms of power that are open to manipulation but on the scale and the black and whiteness of it put forward by certain inviduals (and in DI's books) I am not convinced. The pyramid of deceit and flow of manipulation is far too simplified and is prone to contradiction. Money, power and human nature have a lot more to do with it, i feel.

I did not say that the McCann's killed the girl, but the shock story was the press, to keep it main stream...top story...but the evil powers to be could. If the girl was chipped they would say it would not have happened, they also could find the body, trace the movements of the child and those around her and all others in that area to prove who did....
It's the press and top players pushing this story so that they can have there way.. I do not know what happened, but why has this story had so much cover when a lot of other children have gone missing around the same time and since...
If the state gave a shit every child is important and they would use all resources to solve these crimes, MI5 , Interpol , but they do not care for you, you are a tool for them to get there way...

I understand that but if tying in maddie was truly the goal to introduce microchipping then the events and story would be kept simple and she would be a lost girl.

Also, people are totally exaggerating the number of abducted children in the UK. Some of the figures quoted so far have been around 60,000. Here is a statistic I found using a quick google search on uk abductions

"In 2002/2003 846 child abduction offences were recorded by the police in England and Wales1. This was a 45% increase on the previous year, as a result of changes in recording."

Yes the figure is for four years but it raises the point. I seriously doubt the UK statics and 8x times that in 4 years.

So why has it hit the headlines like it has? Could be many things. She was abducted on holiday while sleeping in her room. Her parents have used the media effectively to raise awareness. I find it quite insulting that there are normal regular people who work in all forms of society that have a much deeper understanding of the things talked about on this forum and yet everyone is some kind of armchair expert pointing the finger and saying "its the illuminati" every time something kicks off.
